In my case, a small delay was needed when trying to flush the buffer: delay(10); // give some time for the rest of the data to come in while (Serial.available() > 0) { Serial.read(); }

How does one send 2 or 3 bytes over the Arduino SPI? is SPI.transfer() good enough? I see on my Analog Discovery 2 Digilent analyzer that the first two spi clock pulses are missing when I try to run SPI.transfer() consecutively ? Any good hints or resources available.

For anyone having trouble understanding the debouncing function, its actually pretty simple. I guess you just havent programmed before. Really whats happening is that you're 'writing code' beforehand. Though the actual logic if you don't think about the function is pretty simple. If you can't get it around your head maybe check out some videos about how functions work in the first place

Thank you! Some of the UI has changed or is different for Mac, but this tutorial was so helpful. One trick with the Mac - I think right click as you're moving components around will rotate them. Pretty nice!

12 years later and this video helped me so much, just from this first tutorial I ended up coding Morse code into the Arduino, which I then sent the videos to multiple of my friends and they deciphered the code. This just made the learning process extremely fun and makes me look forward to more.

The main issue you seemed to skip is the language and protocol that must be used to write a sketch. Nothing at all about when capital letter are required, not much about punctuation required, several other important required language or other things.
