I’ve never seen a movie…no, a film as smooth as this. Everything from the dialogue, cinematography, music, the smoothest and suavest film ever and it still holds up to this day.

While they did a fantastic job with this Star Trek universe reboot, having not seen ST:TOS or TNG or the original series of movies, there are SO many great callbacks, character traits and relationship nuances given voice in this movie that we all cheered about, that you did not have the basis to appreciate. 😕

The production on this film is incredible. Very little CGI was used. They literally built all these vehicles. The war rig is actually powered by two big V8s running in tandem. Making action sequences like this between moving vehicles with people jumping between vehicles while they're being destroyed and explosives are going off is just absolutely insane. They even built a functional flamethrower guitar for the Doof Warrior (the guitarist guy), which was apparently quite the feat of engineering. The film also does an incredible job with visual storytelling. Very little dialogue was needed, and much of it is bastardized English and Aussie slang that's hard to understand anyway.

I thought the spaceship at the beginning was one of those retro-futuristic circular space stations, in which case that opening shot could literally have gone on forever! 😬

Mel Brooks got permission from George Lucas to parody Star Wars with one caveat. The couldn't sell any products referencing the movie which makes all the merch in the film even better.

While any Mel Brooks film is good to watch, I highly highly recommend that you watch Young Frankenstein. It's Mel Brooks meets Bram Stoker.

no CGI, just blue screen technology. Really needs to be seen in it's original format to see how much of an impact it made on us kids at the time (I was 13). The remastered version you are watching has a lot of added stuff and the space stuff was all cleaned up,,,

Hey Addie love your videos, but you should watch Law Abiding Citizen, Down Periscope and Without a paddle. The first is a suspense thriller and the other 2 are comedies and if you want a good movie for the 4th of July then you should watch The Patriot.

"History of the World. Part 1" is my second favorite Mel Brooks film. Only because it was the first rated R movie me and my friends every watched in teh early 80's. My father had a copy and we would watch it when no one was around. Of course we didn't get 75% of the jokes because of our age at the time. But looking back. It literally have the "Who's who" of cameos for the late 80's.. And the jokes are great. Of course for a Mel Brooks movie, you can't beat "Young Frankenstein"

It's a tough call which is Mel Brooks best movie, buti basically comes down to this one or Young Frankenstein. The Producers is also another classic, I like the others but those are my "big three".

Mel Brooks asked George Lucas if he cared about him doing this movie and George Lucas had a couple nonnegotiable. First, merchandising wasn’t allowed, second, not to have a Han Solo lookalike. So Mel Brooks had that merchandising scene with the coolest merchandise I’ve ever seen; and he made his protagonist look like Indiana Jones! So hilarious!!!!

I normally don't like reactions to two episodes of a long show in one upload, but your videos are trimmed so well, you still get the whole story of the show plus your genuine reaction because you haven't played the games. Great content as always. Keep it up.

Rocky would have gained nothing by winning and it was full circle for him to lose. It wasn’t about winning a boxing fight but showing heart and keep moving forward. Honestly it would have hurt the movie for him to win.

One of my favourite subtle jokes in this movie is when Col Sanders asks Dark Helmet if they are taking the “combing of the desert” too literally. Dark Helmet uses the megaphone to talk to Sanders who is standing right beside him, but yells at the Spaceballs on the sand without the megaphone. I howl every single time I watch that scene. 2nd favourite, not so subtle line is “Out of order?! Fuck!” 😆
