This is quite a bit after Glamoth perished. They the Iron Cavalry/Fireflies were the only ones to survive. They continue to fight the Swarm because that is the only thing they know left. In the plannar ornament lore, they actually managed to push the swarm from Glamoth Republic's sector. But there were so many corpses from the Swarm that it blocked out the sun and poisoned the atmosphere that it killed everyone else but the Fireflies. And yes, I do mean Glamoth Republic. The Glamoth Empire never exist, and their empress, Titania, is just like them, another Firefly - the original super soldier template all other are clones of, created to command them. For some reason, their creators, the egg heads of Glamoth Republic and military leaderships think creating an illusion of a strong prosperous empire with a beautiful queen at its head is something needed to be done for these guys. Granted it could be because they used the powers from the Path of Propagation (the same as the Swarm's) to created them enmass. And there probably were some metaphysic mumble jumbo.
