Never thought I would enjoy watching someone dig up a poop pit 😂😂😂 Cool stuff! I have a 1810s two story brick mansion I’m restoring and we have found bottles and artifacts all over the property. I have 2 cisterns to dig out, and who knows how many privies

Why are you guys working in a tiny hole when you could just widen it out and have a better chance of finding items that are still whole. Amateurs.
@ParlorCityPickersDiggers5 күн бұрын
Well, are you familiar with digging privies? They typically have walls. This one being stacked stone. No way to widen the hole unless you dismantle the stacked stone wall, which is dangerous and completely unnecessary

Hey guys how do you split up the bottles? just take turns picking? And have you ever pulled out a bottle that was awesome and then accidently dropped or broke it? thx
@ParlorCityPickersDiggers13 күн бұрын
Yep! We usually just take turns picking or if we know the other person wants something we will just come to some type of agreement. We are all fair with each other. I don't think I've done that, but in one of our youtube "shorts" you can see a clip where that ALMOST happened! Luckily I caught it after it slipped out of my hands like FIVE times! Maybe they should use some real hand tools when working a potential good piece instead of digging with a blunt stick. ???

Sometimes sticks are better. Tools can damage/scratch pieces easier than a wooden stick can or will.

Glass blowing was a home hobby in the 1800s,that small crooked pill bottle could have been a diy container made from some glass tubing.. it looks small enough to be blown at home with the equipment they would have had I would guess.. That would explain the imperfection 11:30
