This isn't enough camber to cause high wear by itself. It's the toe.
@Carbonwurks4 күн бұрын
As mentioned in the video, it’s the combination of very high caster angle, combined with camber and toe being quite aggressive. The level of caster exaggerates this.
@BmacRDX4 күн бұрын
@@Carbonwurksroughly 8 degrees of caster is not particularly high. 7-8 is typical in most cars, as it eases steering efforts. Caster has no effect on the tire contact patch except when turning. It's the toe. Toe causes a constant slip angle and is the main source of high wear. You can drive cars with two degrees or more camber on the road with near zero toe and not see hardly any excess inside wear.

HELLO ! My name is Cristiano. I'm in Brazil . I just bought a 2024 Mini JCW 3 doors. I think the wheels that come with the car are very ugly. The tire that comes with the car is also very bad, the run flat type, it makes a lot of noise and is very hard. It has 17 rims. I would like some help modifying my wheels and tires. What wheel and tire configuration are you using on your Mini in the video? I liked the look you used on your Mini. I liked my Mini but this part about the wheels and tires is bothering me a lot. Can you help me please ? I'm not going to use the car on the track. Use on roads only.

Best thing to do is speak to a wheel specialist in your country. We have 18” OZ Ultraleggera wheels installed with 225/35/18 Tyres (non run flat). Tyre and wheel options may vary where you are, it’s not something we can supply sadly.

Both cars look amazing. For the spoiler, for my impression the AC Schnitzer part is a little bit too much. I am wondering if these things are for the good look only or if they improve aerodynamics. The colors of both cars are great as well. Unfortunately mine is black/white only because I was too stingy which never will happen again :)

Cool little cars. I’m looking at getting maybe a 94ah range extender but I worry about driving on our awful pot holed highways here in New Zealand. Are they robust enough for everyday long term use?. Have you had any issues with punctures in the skinny tyres? Thanks
@Carbonwurks5 күн бұрын
For the most part they are great car. Ride comfort isn’t its strongest point but not much worse than a standard hatchback. For more local driving, taking some pressure out the tyres can greatly improve harder roads. They are plenty robust enough however as a whole.

I get mine in a few days! It's the only reasonably priced EV that I actually like, a really interesting car. Re charging, saying it'll charge in a few hours is a bit misleading, as at a 50kw DC charger, it'll charge up to 80% in about 40 mins. And if you're doing a long journey, you'll be using rapid chargers, not 7kw ones.

I had 2 clios and drove most of the RS versions including a Williams. The 197/200 are definitely too heavy for the "ideal" track car. The steering is weak and bland and the gearbox will not take track days. You'll have to put serious cash in it to be able to race it. Better get a Clio 172/182 and go with that.
@Carbonwurks21 күн бұрын
The 172/182 aren’t without their issues. The chassis although heavier in the 197/200 is more solid and as a whole offers more. Both generations have their place but even in standard form a well driven 200 can be a riot to drive and quick 😀
