Soon when the overheated oceans have been overfished these films will be off interest of what once lived in the historic fertile sea's!!

it is so crazy to me that the reason you are safe around these guys is because for whatever reason they dont want to kill us.

They eat mainly giant squids. A mammal would not be tasty. They are very intelligent and gentle. It is really great to share a moment with them and meet their eyes ❤ I think each specie is different. The false killer whales were not happy and one showed aggressive behavior. The killer whales can be meaner and let their pray agonizing. The biggest animals seems to be gentle. The whale sharks are gentle too 🙂

The whales show restraint with their clicks. They could “fry” a diver with the energy released by sustained bursts of clicks at that close distance.

@@dashcroft1892 Their sonar can be stronger than 200dB at short distance and harm the eardrums or even more but it doesn't mean that they will do it. A cat or a dog could claw your eyes...

When macaques do open mouth displays similar to this, it is a sign of threat or aggression. But, I'm not quite sure if it is the same in spider monkeys.

I love baby monkey's and I would love to own one. How do you go about getting a monkey anyways.

It is not a baby. It is a grown-up female. They belong to someone in Panama. He has a field with big trees where they can climb.

Please don't. First they are wild animals, and wild animals belong to the Mother Nature. They are not pets. So long they are babies they are very cute, but when they are not anymore so indefense an dependent, they are hard to educate/domesticate. If you want to show your love and devotion, pls let them where they belong. And pls think twice, maybe the baby monkey you get/buy, its monkey real mum has been killed before or with luck the baby has been kiddnaped and you are making the real mum really sad. Besides this to trade with wild animals is total illegal all over the world.

You do realize that owning a monkey is tantamount to taking care of a 2 yr old, diaper changes and all, for the next 20-30 years, right? It's a long term commitment to a wild animal that will never truly be happy or fulfilled because they are highly social animals that thrive in troops of their own species with a complex hierarchical society. Unless you are rescuing a monkey that was ripped from it's mother and troop by another human being, and that monkey is unable to be rehabilitated and released back into the wild (which should always be the first consideration), then purchasing a monkey as a pet is a very selfish act. They are happier in the wild and do not need us, unless it's for conservation efforts and protection of natural habitat. Anyone who has thoroughly researched these animals will tell you the same.

@@sharity3289 I am completely agree with you. You got many of the aspects to have a wild animal or baby monkey as a pet. And please don't forget the sanity conditions and needs (vaccinations against worms and parasites, among others) between monkeys and humans. Maybe the people starts thinking twice, before they try to get a wild animal as a pet. And remember that this is also illegal all over the world.
