The whales show restraint with their clicks. They could “fry” a diver with the energy released by sustained bursts of clicks at that close distance.

@@dashcroft1892 Their sonar can be stronger than 200dB at short distance and harm the eardrums or even more but it doesn't mean that they will do it. A cat or a dog could claw your eyes...

The clicks have been measured at over 230 dB - which most likely could be fatal to a diver.
