It's not a massively long cycle from Chester to Rhyl but the A548 is fast just after the bridge towards Flint. Holywell is a nice route northwards. Giles Gilbert Scott also designed Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral.

I’m amazed at the great tail network around Warrington, and throughout the UK. Lots of old canal paths and defunct rail lines. Great bits of history!

Nice one Kieran. Didn't know there was so many lovely churches there. :-) Enjoyed it. (BTW, as you have discovered, never travel on the trains on a Sunday, what with engineering works, crew shortages and overcrowding, it's just not worth it, sadly.) (Al Kennett)

Great bimble . Rhyl is worth a visit . Great skippers operate from there . Tony and Simon Parry . They've been there years . Also, very sinister goings on with Peter Howard Moore google it . Also, the nearest spot, I know .. where Snow Buntings visit . ( winter time of course ) well worth a visit .
