From a drakhad Tengrist: minor correction. The other Tengr are closer to angels in rank. They're not worshipped separately with Tengri, but always after him. In the same ceremony One would beseech Tengri first, and then the other gods and spirits. These other gods are smaller though, and are seen as eminations of Tengri, similar to how the Hindus have eminations of their gods. These other gods are their own being, yes, but contain Tengri. It's closer to the Zorastrian idea of godhood, with ahura Mazda and the verious "worthy of worship powers", than true polytheism or monotheism.

Very interesting subject and especially now days when Turks people in Kazakhstan, Saha, Tuva, Central Asia etc. start thinking about their national religions. A lot of people would like to return to their previous believes as they consider Islam as pure Arabian religion which is against many cultural traditions.

I completely agree and understand your very wise point, though it is very sad to me in seeing the history of how God being a mysterious Unknowable Spirit , to being a god that speaks human words and tells us in words how to behave. For me this is one of the original tricks played on us by ourselves , in the process of removing humanity from the natural world and thinking ourselves separate from nature and from God. Yes each our spiritualities are between ourselves and god and human words come only from humans, to say such a fine Spirit would lower itself to such a primitive form of communication is Blasphemy.

One of the pragmatic reasons for forcefully converting the people of Bukhara Muslim , was an economic one as is the reason for most Wars. Unlike Tengrism All religions based on human words are based convincing and manipulating and judging, as the human word is for, and what war is used for. If the people had been of the book , but not muslim it might have been necessary to eliminate them.

I didnt watch it much becouse I wanted to say a few things about the islamic concept of heaven an hell. the gates of heaven are 8 which you said correctly, but heaven itself has way more layers. It is not certain how many layers there are in heaven, but some of the scholors say that it could have as much layers as there are verses in the holy quran. The Gates of heaven are just the Gates to enter Heaven and not the Layer in which you will reside. in some narations of the prophet mohammad said that some peaple will be called to heaven through multiple gates and some through all of them. The concept of hell is also similar. hell has 7 gates but it does not mean that it has 7 layers. it has a undefined number of layers as far as i know. I would advise you to be more thorough in your research but all in all i like the format that you presend your information

You should have included something about Qormusta Tengri. Qormusta is derived the the Zoroastrian supreme God Ahura Mazda and is now worshipped in central asia and Mongolia. The word "Khuda" is also Persian and is now used by Muslims from Iran to India as well as Turkic peoples in central Asia. Christian's in those areas commonly use Tengri and Khuda and have it in their Bible translations too.

Whatever similarities there are, Tengrism is not even a bit like Islam. You can find similarities between all Religions in the World. We shouldn´t forget that Religions were made on purpouse. either because people needed answers, rules or to take the fear away from dying. Religion is formed by a Culture and this Culture packs some cultural customs in it as well. like all Muslim people who follows the Kuran have Arab Customs in their behavior. Im a Turk, iam an Oghuz and im believing in the God of the Turks (Türük Tängrisi/Türk Tanrisi or just Kök-Tengri)
