Welcome to my first informational video. In this video I will be exploring the religion of Tengrism and will be seen if whether the similarities between Tengrism and Islam potentially played a role into Tengrist converting to Islam. We will be looking into Central Asia between 600 - 751 AD before the Battle of Talas as after that battle Islam grew to become the dominant religion of the region.

Outsiders who comment on Tengrism are forced to rely on a few written sources penned by non Tengrists..Tengism tends to be secretive. and scorns written documents since man-made things cannot reflect Tengri. Therefore Ghjak has done the best he could do under these circumstances. So he should be commended.

I am from the land of Alaska and my culture is tied to similar principles which define Tengrism. Our people came to Alaska from Central Asia on sleds pulled by dogs, dogs provided by the mother wolf Asena, under the watch of Tengri. Experience has taught me that brothers will come from all faiths. Peace be upon my brothers.

You need to work on the music in the background, oftentimes it was louder than your voice in the video.

I thought your video was very informative, I too have researched the birth if Islam in Central Asia. As a Turk and born Muslim I do see differences in our practice of Islam to the mainstream. Turks still hold on to their customs and traditions of the past eg: No shoes worn inside, kissing of the hand of elders and throwing water after someone who is leaving just to name a few.
