This version is much closer to the original story. The versions of Bejart and Pausch in comparison seem to be just saloon dancing.

This is a hauntingly beautiful rendition of an undeservedly obscure song "Sunday in Savannah." Cab Calloway more normally is an upbeat jazz singer, but I love what he does with this hymn-like song.

Joffrey did it first, Joffrey did it best, though I wish they skipped the second Introduction. The tribe must be doing well if they have the time to compose and choreograph something this challenging and sophisticated. 😢

I remember Dr. .Demento, who was HUGE Spike fan, saying that everything Spike did was direct to disk--- no recording of multiple tracks or mixing--- everything had to be timed perfectly. He doubted anyone today would have the talent and skill to pull that off.

They are all great. Groucho's legendary quick wit is showcased. But for me, the way Danny Kaye introduces humor into his singing while keeping a straight face is illustrative of the amazing breadth of his talent -- was there ever a man with more multifaceted talents?

It is my understanding that Nijinsky’s choreography required the dancers to step on the off beat. It is famous that Nijinsky had a hard time getting the dancers to step on the off beat.

A great prophesy by Ray Davies in his lyric, " I like my football on a Saturday" Which was the norm in the 60s 70s and 80s and which many fans I know would like to see return. Kick off at 3pm, a few pints before. Full time 4-45. And time to get home and have the evening ahead. How can crowds create a good atmosphere on a cold Monday night at a 8-15 kick off. Or have to wait until late evening to go the match. Ray Davies produced some of the greatest songs of all time.

David and his 12 string are just amazing. Terry hit's the skins so well. Only problem is can hardly hear Colin's Bass. Andy predates the use of voice all through a song, which is the norm now.
