Hello, there is a knocking sound in the engine of my 2011 C180 1.8 CGI. But there is no problem in driving my vehicle. Some engine mechanics say that the oil pressure plug may be cracked, so it can be done. Apart from this, when I suddenly press the gas, the vehicle turns on the engine malfunction light and gives the fault code p000277. Do you think there may be a connection between this fault code and this sound?

I believe this is related to fuel delivery. Three parts can fail and cause this: 1. HPFP at the back of the engine 2. Low pressure fuel pump below back seat on passenger side 3. Fuel sending unit below back seat on driver side

Engine has three map sensors and I have P0106 for map sensor failure and I don’t know which one of them I have to replace

You have to use Xentry to know which sensor it is. Try swapping them around and see if things get better.

Hi Andrew, I purchased a 2017 C 300 Coupe 40,000 miles on it last year, I dropped $30K. I accidentally pumped 5 gallons of 89 Octane and cracked #1 cylinder. I’ve had it parked for Year searching for divine intervention😆. I found a used M 274 $5,000 I live in Las Vegas and would like to replace sleeve and piston as an alternative, could you please provide part numbers for items needed provided the total is south of $5000.

Bigger intercooler will help alot with smaller pulley. Main problem is heat and ecu just bleeds extra boost as more as possible to keep all parameters near same, like afr and o2.

Fuel pressure was fine. Didnt show any codes for mass air flow. Have you had a similar pulley before?

You're right. ECU kept boost at 7 psi, compared to 5 psi with stock pulley.

@@andrewkamal1 what you mean kept boost at 7 PSI? You get 2 PSI boost anyway without ECU remap? How you know this? 2 PSI means about 18 HP gain or 13 KW. With bigger Cooler u can expect about 25 HP or 18-19KW. If you get it without tune, its rly good numbers, But i think all these extra 2 PSI boost ecu cuts off overtime and opens bypass valve plate as soon as possible to flow out that extra air... m271... Its complex engine system for tune.

@arturaspf2566 This is the m111 engine. Stock pulley maxed out at 5 psi. With this pulley, manifold pressure max was 7 psi. ECU would cut any boost higher than 7 psi by opening bypass flap.

Hello, the piston on cylinder 4 has cracked on my M274.920 and caused internal damage. The cylinder would habe to be Drilled and honed as well as fitted with a larger piston. Mercedes tells me they cant provide me with sich a piston. Please let me Know which Piston you Used and the parts number.

I'm sorry for what happened to your engine. I double there is an oversized piston for this engine. Besides, this is an aluminum block, you can't hone it and replace the piston. There is an iron sleeve inside the cylinder than needs to be replaced and then bored/honed to the exact diameter of the stock piston. This sleeve is a press fit, so you need a good machine shop that is experienced with mercedes engines.

The adhesive on it is good enough to hold it again if you keep it clean after removing it. I don’t advise to use superglue since that makes it impossible to open the unit again without breaking it.
