How refreshing to see that the vile, disgusting cutting off of Beauceron ears still continues outside Europe. The owners should be forced to cut off their own first. Perhaps one or two of the owners parts as well. I worked with Beaucerons in the French Army in the North Africa wars in 1959 onwards. They were amazing. Since then my current one is Ragnar, (Lord of the North). He has always been my best friend and always will be. I got him as a herding dog in France for Limosin cattle, sheep, goats and awkward bullocks. I retired him 7 years ago and he is 13 now. An amazing runner, walker, swimmer, pal to every breed of dog he meets, is also a long distance walker with me. Mostly on the Mountains around France and Spain. The longest being 750 Kilometres along the Pyrenees. He and I loved it. (twice). He has always been incredibly sociable with all dogs and humans of all ages. The Beauceron Breed comes from an area called the Beauce South West of Paris. Some time between 1450 and 1520. The two breeders decided that they would be Herding dogs(good news) for Wild Boar (Bad News) but as far as I know that now longer exists. If I it did I could probably run a lot faster than Ragnar. We do see Wild Boar on our farm sometimes. These are fabulous. I hope you get one.

I just adopted a dog and no one can figure out what kind of dog he is. He's definitely part Chihuahua, but the other parts are a mystery. A groomer told me about these dogs and after looking at pictures of a schipperchi I am almost convinced that he could be that breed. My dog's name means captain 😊 How fitting!

I was really interested to watch this video, however many of the images are not Norwich Terriers at all ... and given that you don't even know how to pronounce the name of this breed, it's impossible to put any faith in the information provided. Very poor "information video".

I have had 3 Schips and this is mostly all true for my schips except for the high rate of shedding. It was noticeable with 2 but now that I only have one the shedding is minimal. Other than that everything else is true. Mine barked a little until I told them that it was ok and they eventually stopped barking at every little thing. My Pomeranian barked nonstop no matter what was going on and didn’t stop until she was ready to stop so I had a comparison. I can also resound that two walks a day is absolutely necessary to keep a skipper key from becoming bored and barking. Measuring the food is a must. I also weigh my dog once a month to make sure I’m on track.

negative reinforcement is actually not yelling or sending them to the trait. negative or positive stand for added or taken away. reinforcement is used when you want to encourage behavior. negative reinforcement is when you take something away that is unpleasant, to encourage the good behavior.

I found my schipperke boy named Pepper in the pound when he was 5. Now 13 he has always been obedient and sweet. A quiet boy compared to my barky corgi boy named Simon. At 13 Pepper has little energy compared to when he was young partially due to arthritis. He's just a sweet boy. He graze eats and isn't overweight at all.

Thanks for this informational video. I’ve had a barber for 2yrs and he is the sweetest, most loving, supportive and funny dog I’ve ever see or had. He makes my day every day. And I highly recommend a barbet. They are easy to train and are extremely intelligent! (I will mention though, they can definitely be bigger than described here. My barbet is almost 26 inches and 75 pounds. He is not fat at all but very muscular) As well as very loyal. Also, barbet is also Barbe which is beard in French.

My Schnoodle Molly died suddenly last week at the age of 9. She was the absolute best friend and dog I could have ever asked for. I’m so upset about losing her after only 9 years. I am so afraid to get another because I do not want the dog to die at such a young age again. I always thought we would be together at least another 5 years. I’m 57 and a strong dude but this heartbreak and loss has devastated me. I do so much want another.

I am looking after a Black Mouth Cur and she is tremendous. My friend travels and when he's away, he leave her with me. She is affectionate, intelligent, loyal, protective, respectful and obedient. I take her for daily hikes and she loves to play. I love her. I would recommend this breed to anyone who is active and can afford to spend time with the dog.

I got my female Bernedoodle with an ex. She's a large bernedoodle (about 80 pounds) who has a purebred Bernese mom and bernedoodle dad. She sheds but is manageable with regular brushing. After my ex and I split I took her with me to an apartment. She adjusted well and is so content and happy living in this space (she was living in a house and yard before), although I do hope to have a house soon with a big yard because she needs more freedom. I take her to the dog park regularly and she is so happy with anything, especially car rides. I can't say enough how much of a blessing she has been in my life. Very goofy, loves toys, butt rubs, affectionate communication, and is always by my side. She's my swimming and hiking buddy in the summer months. She has always been so gentle with children and other animals. I truly can't recommend a Bernedoodle enough! My only disclaimers would be that she took a good while to house train as a puppy and can be a little stubborn at times. Also, very strong and a bit of a klutz.

I have had two Chorkies and absolutely LOVE this breed! They are sweet and affectionate and full of sass and personality! Also, utterly adorable <3 It is true that they possess a ton of energy and require daily long walks and/or play for atleast 30 minutes. My Chorkie loves long walks and is always eager to head out on her daily adventures. House training was a dream with my first Chorkie. My second was far less adaptable to house training and this has required a strong amount of attention and work. She is three years old now and has shown significant improvement after a rough start during her first year of potty training. She is quite willful and head strong. I would advise any new owners to be prepared to put in the extra effort in the first two years. Both of my Chorkies were immieduately socialized and have sweet, eager personalities with other dogs and humans- very well rounded. Neither of them have been yappy and folks often comment on how well behaved each of them is. My first Chorkie passed away at a young age (4 years) and I believe it was a neurological issue resulting of the oral flea medication regularly admistered from our vetrinarian. I adamently warn against this as a precaution as her passing was heart breaking and it is unnecessary to issue an oral flea med. I learned a painful lesson and will not admister oral flea medication to my second one. She is so far quite happy and healthy. I keep on top of the flea situation with natural flea alternatives. I will add that as a baby she was squirmy and took a fall from my shoulder after scrambling right up my arm one morning. Fortunately she was ok but it was a real scare as that is a long way to fall for such a tiny little creature. Especially when they are puppies it is imperitive to be extra cautious/careful and attentive as their tiny size can welcome such mishaps. If well trained they turn into very good little dogs in their second and third year of life! Button is an absolute delight and a wonderful travel companion. <3 R.I.P. my sweet Coconut. She is forever part of my heart.
