I personally see Yuji being put in special grade, for the sole reason that he has managed to pull off so many black flashes that it looks like he can do it at will. whether or not he has enough strength to keep up with them or not, it is hard to say, but he could definetly beat any of the grade 1 sorcerer. "Special Grade is a rank reserved for anomalies within the jujutsu community." Additionally he still has Immense Cursed Energy (the only people whose cursed energy is refered to as such outside of Yuji are special grades), he has two innate techniques (which the only other person who can kind of say the same is Yuta, since while Yuta does technically only have the one (Copy), it can be used to use others. I'm not including Kenjaku and Sukuna since they can only use a second Innate technique when inside someone that has one), lastly he has Reversed cursed Technique, which amongst those whose grades we know, only special grades have it. Taking in account that he has only been a Jujitsu sorcerer for just about half a year, the sheer speed in which he has gained strength would likely earn him the title of Special Grade.

I don't really keep up with everything JJK related, but it sounds like Yuji is poised to become something of a 'Jack of All, Master of None' kind of deal. Which may not be very powerful in the short term, but in the long run it can create a legend. It actually kinda reminds me of Delsin from Infamous Second Son; instead of being able to master a single conduit power, he absorbs the powers of other conduits and has a versatile arsenal to overcome an array of challenges.

I've declined to watch season 2 or read the manga after seeing the first season. I enjoyed it but it also felt like all "sizzle and no steak". Flashy and cool action scenes with good music but also a lot of having to ignore unexplained concepts or plot holes. The more I've learned about the story that follows what I've seen, the more I feel like my assessment was accurate.
