I should have known that they’d screw it up even further. Why do so many platform fighters have to either be underwhelming, or pure garbage? Seriously. The only one that impressed me outside of Smash Bros, is Rivals of Aether. Which is kind of sad.

Not to mention in the beta, training had a better character select menu, and you can use the alternate skins for all of the fighters, now you can only use the ones you own.

Look, it’s all Warner bros fault. They’re corporate and greedy, First Player Games wanted to actually make a good fighting game, but since Warner bros went through them, they can’t really change or do much about the current decisions made. If you want to hate this game, hate on Warner Brothers

I don't know if you'll read this but 2 different bosses in the rift mode has soft lock glitches. In Jason's fight sometimes the gem you need to break to damage him will never break, no matter how much damage it takes. And in the Robot boss fight, if you use Jason and use his down special. THE BOSS GETS MOVED OFF SCREEN AND THE FIGHT BECOMES IMPOSSIBLE.

I really like this game but it's so busted. First Xbox is ass online. Alot of characters have insane hit boxes that linger, come out fast, and are just huge. Lag makes you can't space and punish anything. Like you said the state of the game rewards degenerate play styles. If they don't fix it up I'll be dropping the game.

The hitboxes and slow attacks are bothering me the most in this game now. I play 1 v 1s and it feels like the slow movement and recovery make it so that you can stand there and use the same attack over and over and still win, especially in certain characters like Batman and Banana Guard. Not to mention the slow attacks either take too long to pull off, or have rigged hitboxes to the point where you cant do much more than a 3-4 hit combo, especially on some characters like Shaggy. I much preferred in the beta where you couldn't stand in the same spot or pace back and forth in one spot while repeatedly using the same 1 or 2 moves the entire game to win, and I also liked how you could combo someone from 0 to 100+ endlessly if you were good enough. Now it just seems like a game of either spamming or keeping your distance, which is stupid in a fighting game.

Something else that's kinda shitty is that if you played the beta, only a select few people got to keep the progress they made on characters and levels. Idk if it has to do with what rank you were on that character in thr beta or if you shelled out money for one of the "founder's editions" of the beta, but if you played the game casually or just stopped because you wanted to wait until the full release, your characters were set back to level 1 and you lost whatever perks or load out you had unlocked in the beta

Wait, they removed the neutral-side swap? What. The. Hell?! Like, this wouldn't even be a big deal if they conformed to the already understood conceits of the genre, but they just had to insist on putting jabs on tilt by default because. . .Did we _ever_ get an answer for why they built it this way in the first place?

The engine change is the basis of all the issues present. The beta build on UE4 has so many awesome QOL features that made it feel premium at beta. They were honestly struggling with content, sure some gameplay features and balance updates could've been worked on. But that wouldnt put you at square 1 with REBUILDING the game. It wasn't broken but they decided to "fix" it. The beta felt more feature complete aside from the rift which is w.e tbh. 2024 MVS is open beta #2. I would honestly want them to shut it down 1 last time for a year so they can catch up AGAIN... Truly disappointing. They got a 2nd chance not many get in the industry considering the current climate of gaming. PFG failed tremendously. TLDR: PFG should have just iterated on UE4 beta build instead of switching to UE5.

I Literally played this game for the longest time on PS4 to then move to the Xbox Series X and have the game not only load better but be more stable overall. To hear that now all of Xbox consoles basically having the lag built in to its version is so miserable to now learn about. This game has gone so much worse and I wish we just had the beta still in play because I know it was way better back then even on Xbox
