Glad to see you've updated this as recently as this year Jan 2024 - that is awesome and excited to get started with this!!!!! The template is awesome - and your detailed videos on your site after purchasing make getting started really easy! Quick feedback - if a user has never used a template before (and I am on a MAC) then the template folder won't actually exist. I had to first create a "TestTemplate" and then the folder was automatically created. But in my case the folder didn't exist because I never created a template as I am new to S1. Once I created a quick test template - the folder was exactly where you described. Again really excited to get started with this and thanks again.

Does this template still work in the latest version - believe we're in 6.6? Thank you.

Good video, at least you get right into it rather than waffling for 10 mins! You can actually tune the sounds on the individual pads in Impact XT as well. You could put the same snare sound for example on three pads and tune them all differently. Then they will play their respective tunings when they are triggered.

I have to refer back to this video everytime I need to route maschine and S1. I'm not sure if this is happening to anyone else, but to record midi I have to now only record in monitor and record on the maschine track only. If I don't, I'll head the hit twice like a delay.

I started on Studio one, but this whole model sounds nasty, considering its perpetual license is only good for that current version, and FL studio is a perpetual license for all future versions as it stands now and for the foreseeable future

I use macro for layering...mostly orchestral instruments and synths...for example if a play one lead thn with macro m able to create two or more layers with different instruments with different octave...it really helps in layer in seconds....and even widening including the panning left and right.

if logic changes some workflow issues like plugins search and such, it will kill it!! I dont know why they dont

I´m a multi DAW user, if one fucks it up then I have always the choice for example working further with FL Studio or Reason

Dude I haven’t even been able to get into studio one since the last update. It just crashing at “scanning sound sets” and studio one gave me no resolution. I pay them monthly. It’s all I can afford. So I stopped paying and stopped using.

Personally i think subscriptions for creative programs of any type, photo editing, video editing, music, digital drawings and so on, is stupid. I want to own the software i use to create and not pay every month to be able to keep using it. I hope they dont go full subscription

Thanks for the video and insight. Don’t try Logic, it’s a train wreck right now. I’m working in 7.1.4 and it’s a disaster tbh. I’m thinking of trying studio one just for the Atmos capabilities. Been in Logic for well over a decade, but Apple never add updated features and when they do, it’s limited and they don’t fix the bugs for the platform they push. I’m done with that DAW asap. Thanks! Version 6.x KILLS a lot of your plugins. THAT SUCKS. If they worked fine in ver. 5.5x, they should work in 6.x. Now have to wait till the blame game between Presonus and the plugin manufacturers gets the problems sorted out. The deepstate master Steinberg comes out with a new SDK for VST tech and everybody has to update so their crap works again. I'm so tired of this shit. If I get everything working right, I doubt I'll ever update again.

Hello! I tried doing exactly this using my Maschine MK3 into Studio One 6 and for whatever reason, Studio One is not recognizing any MIDI information from Maschine MK3. What can I do to resolve this? It's my first time recording and it's very frustrating that I feel like I bought these things for nothing!!

For a few minute in length video, is it REALLY necessary to have such a crazy long intro? I mean, you guys are getting to the point where a person might believe they are about to view a two hour movie. This is getting RIDICULOUS! I know, everyone does it and you need to compete. But geez, it would be so refreshing to see that there are not so many SHEEP, piling up on each other waiting to see whIch brave one will act out of his OWN accord. Pathetic, really.

I don't know why you would record 3 separate perc tracks in 3 passes into 1 drum instrument, then split it out into 3 separate tracks and switch them to the sampler. Why not record it into 3 separate tracks of sampler in the first place and save all those steps?

Hi Ivan. I created a VST instrument (PIANOTEQ 8 ), macro as per your instructions but it does not show up in the drop down menu along with the ones that you created. ( ADD SERUM, ADD OMNISPHERE, ADD KONTAKT, ADD SAMPLE ONE ) I was expecting to see it added to this list. Is this not the case? Thanks for the vids and all you do. Love your channel!

Trying to program on midi editor ..tried with c1,c2,c3 ,c4...does it work ot it works only record through midi keyboard?

I have this and love it’s sound. But how can I make those changes that you make on the fly, as in 05:30 but record it in step recording or in piano roll? How to I get multiple sound and rhythm changes? Do I need to make a new track for each change?

I had Studio One 4 years now. I just bought the ATOM, can't wait to learn everything about it. I've worked on Fl Studios and MPC DAW and MPC X as a controller. I'm writing sync/film music these days, I write on Studio One! I would use them both. Impact Xt for drum sounds, percs. But the 808's and other hats or snares I would use Sample One.

how do i add the toolbar to studio one because i downloaded it , unziped it , and studio one 6.6 pro wont see it by the way thanks for the great work that you do for us . look foward hearing from you
