my 12 yr old lg 60 plasma lately turns off when it feels like. usually it happens at beginning if viewing. I turn it back on and it runs fine with an occasional shutdown during the movie and sometimes it just stays on. I don't want to trash it cuz the picture is amazing after all these years. after watching this video I thinking some capacitors are going bad.

My sub makes louse crackles, the exposed bolt on top is very very magnetically charged and magnetises any metal tool it touches. Can i just disconnect the sub and still be able to use radio?

@@TECHIELIFE i thought so. The amp or whatever it is makes loud hisses and pops even with the music is on 0, i altered with the fade and balance and it doesnt change. It only stops after i turn on and off the radio

if the orignal LED is 3v is buying a replacement 6v ideal, so that the LED wont reach the max power and burn out, its just a question

No, you want another 3v.. if you purchase a 6v, the other leds will become very dimmer and that one led will be brighter.

Holy shit dude thanks for helping. I had this weird issue where it looked fine 90% of the time EXCEPT when I would play a video, then it would get all fucked up. I went through my computer settings, tv picture settings a ton of times and nothing ever fixed issue. Just looked through the TV manual, nothing helped. But somehow editing the NAME of the input fixes it??? WTF. The name of the input seems completely fucking arbitrary. If it actually effects shit why don't they mention it anywhere??? So asinine. Thanks for finally fixing this issue for me!

I just watched your video. I have a LG plazma 60PA6500 with the red light clickand no power to. But I don’t see any swelling on the power board. Will it be the same black part on mine even though I don't see any swell. Or do you have a next step video?

Yeah I have the same tv and the bottom part of mine has become darker then the rest of the tv and as long as it doesn’t cost more to fix it then buying a new tv I can get it fixed.

No offense, but do not follow This video. Soldering is a very weak connection, and one little dribble of solder on a contact that hasn’t been roughed up for maximum adhesion is a terrible idea, and a great way to cause a ton of resistance and heat and potentially a fire. Spot welding with new nickel strip is the way to do this properly.

Thanks, I got a certified pre owned from Lincoln and they didn’t change the dirty cabin filter from previous owner. Even tho it says they inspect it on their pre certification checklist. Go figure

what is the ODM 7200 and ODM 7400? it says there are different chips for different mondel number but I dontsee either ODM 7200 or ODM 7400 on th eback of the display anywhre is this a number that is on the eprom chip itself?

@@heroesofthescape I wonder if I can see the chip through the vents on the back. I am pretty sure mine is working it lowers on and I can see the menus but I have not tried to connect an HDMI source yet. I found this thing lying face down next to the curb on a very windy day, it still has the plastic peel on the lower bezel. And it looks almost new. I wonder if it was standing up with a free sign on it but it just blew off and blew over. I saw some of the chips on eBay that are ore flashed, one of them says only a few left. Are they really that hard to get still? I was thinking of ordering one just in case mine has a problem or breaks. At least at one pot I thought I read the chips were hard to come by but maybe they are more abundant now?
