Next time use flux and/or lightly sand the cell terminals. It looks like you have some cold solder joints there.

All this is completely unnecessary especially if your battery is relatively new. I don’t care if you have an M 18 or M12 battery, if they are relatively new meaning, they haven’t gone through hundreds of charges try this first. I’ve had about 4M 12 batteries do this and different lengths of life and I was about to send them all back because they were less than nine months old, and I’ve only used them maybe a dozen times. 1. Plug your charger into the wall and pop in your battery. 2. Wait until the red and green lights flash rapidly, then unplug the charger from the wall (even after you unplug the charger from the wall, the red and green lights will still blink rapidly for a few more seconds 3. Once they have stopped blinking, plug the charger back into the wall and repeat the above steps 10 times. Once you’ve done it 10 or 11 times the charger will display a solid red dot indicating that the battery is now charging. This has worked every single time and although I’ve never had a problem with an M 18 battery I’ve seen KZfaq videos of people doing the same thing to an M 18 battery and it works flawlessly. I can’t remember what happens but I think it has to do with leaving the battery in the tool for too long and letting it sit unused for an extended period. Now I take all my batteries out at the end of the day or within a few days and even though I don’t charge them, I just put them in a bag instead of leaving them inside of a tool.

These 6Ah batteries are junk, great run time but they all fail very quickly

It’s bc the battery drained you can easily find out if it’s over drained by jumping it with a fully charged same volt battery

I dont think to just replace it right away and at the same time with different brand.. you should balance it all first before putting it altogether.. be careful in dealing with batteries not all batteries have the same chemical composition..

Where is a good place to get replacement cells for these packs? I saw that they're Samsung cells... Would it be best to go with Samsung or another brand?

So did this guy even need to solder those clips on? Wouldn't they already be attached & you just swap out the batteries?

No offense, but do not follow This video. Soldering is a very weak connection, and one little dribble of solder on a contact that hasn’t been roughed up for maximum adhesion is a terrible idea, and a great way to cause a ton of resistance and heat and potentially a fire. Spot welding with new nickel strip is the way to do this properly.
