It looks like the acc plugs are already installed in the thermocator bore orifice. you can tell by the notch in the thread inserts at that location.

UPDATE: We tried using a 1 inch Milwaukee Hole Dozer Bi-Metal hole saw (Milwaukee Model # 49-56-9662, Home Depot Internet # 202327732) instead of the 1-1/8 inch and the caps came off in under 30 seconds per tire. Just did another Ford and the whole operation took about 10 minutes for all four tires. I am carrying this in my emergency kit in case I ever come across a stranded Ford owner! Also, used an 18mm socket to remove the underlying steel lug nut and 19mm to put the new lug nuts on (@100 ft/lbs) </update> Wow, this worked B-E-A-UTIFUALLY. I tried other techniques on my 2017 Ford Escape and they were tons of work for poor results. I replaced 16 lug nuts in less than an hour (the other four took me close to an hour with the other techniques and scratched the rims a little and destroyed a socket. Thank you Mr. Fast Fix!

oh....nooooooo. You need a catspaw or flat bar and your trim will remove very easily. The very LAST thing I would ever do is cut the trim to get something old out. Lowes as a set of the flatbars.

Anyone else have problems with the snap ring being too thick? What was the replacement if you screwed up the original for the pulley? Home Depot carries an inch and a quarter internal snap rings, are those the right size?
@FastFixYouTube
@FastFixYouTube Күн бұрын
Hello. Somewhere in the comments are the proper snap ring dimensions. There’s a “rebuild/replacement” kit that has all the correct pieces, including the snap rings. I wish I could tell you where to look or at least a close time frame, but alas it’s buried…. If anything, bring the old snap ring to the store and try matching it up. Or measure the old one. Best of luck!

Hello. Which bracket are you referring to? I assume it’s the metal strap with the holes punched out? If so, simply buy a new one (if not included in the rebuild kit) and use the hole that was used on the old one. If I’m missing something, please let me know. Thank you!

I just turn the motor until a rocker loosens all the way and then tighten all the ones that are loose, then turn the motor over until more loosen up then tighten them, then turn the motor over and tighten the loose ones until none are loose.

Thanks for making this video! I replaced the ac clutch on a 2011 civic lx with 170k miles. I did not remove the alternator but instead I lifted the car and worked from the bottom. I got those snap ring pliers another commenter suggested and it worked perfectly for the inner snap ring. My mistake was that I did not set the inside snap ring securely, and after running for a day the pulley dragged the coil and ripped the electrical cord out. I had to order another clutch. Luckily I was able to securely place the snap ring in, and now the ac works. Also I just used the old shims. All and all, this video was extremely helpful.

Hey, FastFix! We appreciate you using one of Microgard's filters in your instructional video! We represent O’Reilly as their filter manufacturer for their Microgard cabin air filter products. We take pride in the products and services we bring to them. We appreciate your feedback on their product, and we would like to point out a few things about the video: The filter shown in your video from Microgard is their particulate filter, not their HEPA filter. Microgard’s HEPA filters are packaged in a green box with “HEPA” marked on the front of the packaging. Additionally, the material of the HEPA filters features a gray and white side and 5 layers of filtration. The OEM filter you replaced isn't a carbon-infused filter. Rather, the gray appearance in the old filter is due to the accumulation of dust and other particles that have been filtered out before it enters the cabin. Our cabin filters have been tested in an independent testing facility following ISO's cabin filter standards to ensure that you get quality filtration with our products. Our filters are manufactured in ISO-certified cabin filter facilities for quality assurance. The Microgard filter you had in the video is a USA-made filter. We take pride in the fact that all of our HEPA cabin air filters as well as 90% of our particulate and carbon filters are made in the USA. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
@FastFixYouTube
@FastFixYouTube 9 күн бұрын
Hello and thanks for writing me regarding the Microgard Cabin Air Filter used in this video. After reviewing the footage, I absolutely agree with you: This is not a HEPA filter as stated in the video. Remembering back to this video, I recall the parts guy being confused at the two different types and I think he gave me the incorrect filter. I should have realized that when installing, but you'd be surprised how these things get past you when creating videos. I will pin your comment to the top of this video and I'll also let viewers know this is not a HEPA filter via the Description. Unfortunately, KZfaq doesn't allow me to edit existing videos in order for me to insert text alerting viewers to the mischaracterization of the filter, however I'll do some research to see if there's a way for me to edit. Accuracy is very important to me and I appreciate you taking the time to bring this to my attention. Have a fantastic day!

Hi i have 2010 civic 136k miles i beleive it never had a transmission fluid changed no problems with the car but i wanna keep the car for long time how should i change or should do the flush
@FastFixYouTube
@FastFixYouTube 9 күн бұрын
Hello. At 136k, I'd forgo and flushing of the system and instead do a drain and fill as I did in this video. If I recall, Honda recommends new trans fluid every 50k to 70k miles. Thanks for the question and I hope your Honda lasts a long time. Mine is still on the road to this day with over 300k on the odometer.

2 more tips. Get out of tight neighborhoods. Everyone wants to get drunk and be at their house with these items in the street but there isn't enough room. If you can find a more open area say within 5 minutes walking it's worth it. But at least buy 2 sheets, if not 4 of 4x8 plywood and wall off your display. We lay them so they're 4 tall 8 wide and tight to at least front and back. Anything that can get over has much lower odds of head hunting
