Being 50 and from the UK this style of chopper is hardly ever seen but is absolute perfection, Ive dreamed of making a chopper with this stance for 20 years. One day hopefully my dream will happen. Fantastic build well done. ❤

@@TheCr0w depends on how much fabrication you can do. I built a lot of these parts from scratch which saves money, but its all very labor intensive

Shane, Can you tell me more about the frame? I am working on a build rn but am struggling with a decision for the frame, I have a 79 and not sure if I should just buy a frame or cut and weld a HT on mine.

@@mr_unsane this is a stock 78 frame with a hardtail that i welded on. If you get a weld on hardtail get the vtwin one, much better fitting than this one from throttle addiction

Do you think it would be easier to do a 12v Cummins chassis swap or to just swap the engine?

Depends on what your looking to do. If its just a stock engine, the engine swap is easier by far. If your upgrading the engine and making more power, then the axles and other drivetrain parts need to be addressed. At that point, a chassis swap might make more sense. I wanted to keep this truck pretty original and keep its original character and chassis as much as possible. Jf i was starting from the ground up and building piece by piece id probably do a chassis swap

@@assassin9344 theyre skyjacker leaf springs. The part number is in one of these videos, theyre a 2.5” or 3” lift spring but with the weight of the cummins the truck sits dead level

The handlebars, pipes, oil tank, oil tank tray, sissy bar, foot controls, aluminum dash cover, jockey shifter, seat, and clutch rod were all handmade by me and i also cut and hardtailed the stock 78 frame myself

Stock 30° rake and stock inline springer, i believe 17”. The speedo is a ‘54 panhead reproduction and the dash os a knucklehead reproduction. I dont have part numbers off hand

I think progressive makes a kit for shovelheads or you can trim your stock springs down and make your own preload spacers out of 1” PVC which is similar to the spacers in the progressive kit
