Nice work Alan. I particularly like the new signs on the signal gantries near Waterloo. Also, nice touch having the Eurostar 373s in there (I assume you bought AHS one?). I notice you added in the old halt at Wimbledon depot (nice touch). Question: I saw what looked like some SPAD indicators placed down by the ground at the end of the platforms at Wimbledon. I don't think they're on the original PDL route. Are they just a backdated feature or are they still there in real life today?

If you look at the previous video I've made of the class 50 coming out of Waterloo the gantry signs were already in place. Yes I did buy the AHS class 373, I have to say as it currently is it's not worth the money but for ai running around the Waterloo area it's got a use. Again Durnsford Road staff halt along side Wimbledon park depot was in the original PDL I've not changed that although a new model is in production that's not been changed as yet. As for the SPAD indicators they are still in place but are bagged OOU as they are no longer required with the introduction of TPWS and they wouldn't be included in the original PDL as it uses UKPro signals and SPAD indicators are not part of that asset library.

@@DriverReg455864 Interesting. When you say the gantry signs were already in place, I take it you mean you added them, but a while ago? Interesting about the SPAD indicators. I notice there's one at Clapham. It doesn't look bagged OOU. Is that still active?
@DriverReg4558642 жыл бұрын
@@mdhazeldine Yes I added them a while ago, the models being made by Alex Maityard of the Sutton and Mole Valley Line fame a while back now. Again the SPAD indicator at Clapham in the current real-world is there but bagged up OOU just like the Wimbledon ones as they are no longer required because of TPWS, bare in mind this route is set in the late '90s to early '00s, and TPWS wasn't installed until late '99 so over the course of the routes life you would see it more but I have chosen to leave it out for now in favor of the older SPAD indicators.

I watched as far as Surbiton. As a non driver in real life, I'm not seeing many differences, but I'm assuming the main changes are to do with signalling, track and gantries? You would obviously notice that big time if you're driving this route daily. For me as a former commuter and local to the line, the stuff I notice more is the scenery. What are the biggest changes you've made then?
@DriverReg4558643 жыл бұрын
In that video the biggest change is Wimbledon station. Which has been ripped out, track work on the district line and the Thameslink side relaid, Translink removed and put back to when the Wimbledon-West Croydon line was in place, the station has been kit bashed with a better representative "tunnel" lighting added under it and old milk sidings added to the country end. The signals have been replaced throughout to be the old Bulb type (excluding Waterloo, although that has now changed in the latest update), Berrylands station model was removed, the platforms shrunk to 8 car length, again the station has been kit bashed to represent how it was (not perfect but acceptable) the gantry at the London end of the station on the up lines has been moved back to the country end of the station to where it used to be and the only other changes were some scenery tweaks between Waterloo and Clapham, shrinking Queenstown Road station again to 8 car length platforms and the inclusion of Queenstown Road signal box at the London end of the station on the Windsor side.
