All you needed to do is is take off was 3 bolts on both sides (Z71) to drop your bumper.

They're 3157 standard socket switchback bulbs! The ones I use are at www.fuzedled.com

I installed a switch so i can have them come on with the interior lights, without, or not at all. Oh and you gotta swap out the bulbs for led's to get that modem look😉

@rscott3387 I installed a on-off-on rocker switch in the dash right next to the steering column. Ran ignition power to one pin, power from interior lights to the other side

Folks you don't want to use LED's on projector beam headlamps. It will shine EXTREMELY bright to oncoming drivers. Plus, potentially burn out your bulbs. You can upgrade to a higher HID but stay away from LED's in projector beam headlight vehicles.

@@mycoolshows6702 I have an '07 Silverado Classic. Did it all from underneath. 4 Bolts. No need to open the hood or touch the grill. Plastic bumper cover slid right underneath and snapped in place.

@@mycoolshows6702 Mine has a plastic "bumper cover" that fits over the top. It slid right under the grill, and you just tap it with a mallet or your fist, and the pegs snap in.

I have to do this today after hitting a deer a few weeks back. Definitely not as easy as the other video let on. I figured that out last night when I sstarted counting the number of bolts from underneat it. 😅 I will get it on it now just to save the time and hassle of taking it to a shop. So glad to find this video! I've been chasing the dome light circuit for a couple of weeks now. I did a mirror upgrade to my '13 Silverado and everything works great except the puddle lights. It would appear that this mod will take care of those lights, too. Does the cargo light fade out like the dome lights?

Yes it does. It looks pretty cool. I did the mod on Saturday night. I'm back here to read comments to see if anyone has any issues after doing it. Something I should have done before. 😅

@@carportmods I went out the next day and completed the project. Works great! Other than being under the dash soldering and being 70 and fat it went pretty well. The truck looks like a UFO landing when I hit the remote.

Do you happen to have a picture or something of them at night? I was going to go HID, but of course ran into the dang issue with the stupid KIA design. With this video, I will end up going LED. I have been running Silverstar Ultras. Are they brighter? Whats the color like at night? White? Bluish White? Thanks in advance
