It's good commentary. 10:40 to 12:15 is a nice summary. It's a pretty easy fold. There are too many hands you are losing to.

LOL. Some plays are wrong. Just wrong. Catching doesn't make them good plays. We've seen other guys like Gus Hansen go on extended heaters and look like geniuses. Until they crash out of the game completely, which is what Hansen did. I've seen Blom playing heads up, and get all in pre on hands like 5-6 suited. That's a good hand multi-way, due to the implied odds. But not if you're all-in pre... because there's nothing to do but hope. No upside, not even any bluff potential. And you're at least a 3-2 dog to almost anything you're up against. Keep going in as a dog, and you get broke. Nobody is "genius" enough to beat odds long term. Buying pots against scared money may prolong the agony, but you still get broke. Put Blom heads up against a good player (not even a great player) with a billion dollar bankroll, and his "strategy" is worthless. He'll go bust over and over again. The truth is, he'll fare wose against a good player with a huge bankroll than a great player who is worried about his own bankroll. Just the bit about him losing money playing open-face Chinese, not knowing how to play the game, is enough to tell you who/what he is. I know Galfond is a great player, but it's that thrill-seeker in him that is showing this much respect for another thrill-seeker. His rise was Random Walk Theory 101. His fall was inevitable.

The Hand that Phil over looked was A4 Suited, a lot of ranges would call pre with that.. Airball did not play this well at all..

question: should Bauman even be raising A7hh on the river here? What would she be targeting to make a raise profitable? Based on how it played out and Phil/Vanessa's comments, it seems she would only be getting called by better. if this is true (and Gail realized it, could be expected to play accordingly), could selbst could have folded profitably?

Incredible skill getting dealt a pair (which the player has nothing do with) and then catches the other two remaining fours on the flop......exactly why this is such a game of skill.

She got aces , the best starting hand , then made a set on flop follow by a full house on river , its near impossible to fold that and this is one of those bad beat moments every poker player runs into eventually, horrible luck .

It's so deceptive as it looks like Nik is genuinely tanking on the river and going through his options, In reality he is only thinking about Sweets, cakes, ice-cream and men's Genitalia!

Niks turn bet is fine, clears equity and better to be H/U for river especially OOP, but his river bet makes zero sense on Ts. On the Ten of diamonds etc would make much more sense for obvious reasons but still be bad! What the hell does he think Mariano can ever call him with on Ten of spades specifically, that he also called turn with 3rd player still to act behind therefore making Mariano also OOP to 3rd player on river too, hence Mariano range is super strong
