Thank you for stating clearly early in the tutorial that for Baltic weaving you never manipulate the background threads while dropping or picking up. I am learning Baltic pickup from a book right now and that was the one part that was unclear as it was not mentioned one way or the other, so this was very helpful.

LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Thank you for your tutorial on warping the Inkle Loom for Baltic. I belong to a club for Inkle Looming in AZ and the group ( me included) are a bunch of newbies. We finished basic weaving and wanted to learn new patterns. We were not to sure on the warping and you answered all our questions. Again, Thank you.

I’ve never made a KZfaq video but there are times I’ve searched endlessly trying to find something. I wonder if the titles of KZfaq videos make a difference? You have a short title and I don’t see the word Loom in it. How would a newbie know to search for Baltic Pickup? I’ve been watching videos for a couple weeks and this is the first I’ve heard of that. I don’t mean to discredit you in any way or your video which is really good. Do titles make a difference on KZfaq like they do on Marketplace when searching an item?

When you get to the heddle part in the long box you are calling it says it's the pedal now does that mean that if you use blue that has to be held you at all all the blue you don't go like that old non-huddle or anything like that

Hi Trina I suggest you go to my warping video to see how to read and warp a pattern because different patterns will require a different number of warping threads here is the link kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n96fprJy0aiZlmQ.html

Thank you, seriously, thank you. I am brand new to weaving, having been intimidated for decades (did lots of other stuff, sewing, quilting, crochet) Weaving was something only super talented people did (yeah, yeah, I know, but my dyslexic mind had trouble getting wrapped around it) All I had ever been around were the massive floor looms which seemed to have so many moving parts, feet, hands, a full contact sorta craft. Then, I ran across rigid heddles looms...... A friend loaned me her 12" Ashford and I fell in love. Inkle, I am SO excited to make one and then weave on it, I can't stand myself for the excitement (my Husband's heading to elk camp and the shop is MINE :) ) Straps for days.... I love to crochet purses and bags, I rarely find the strap(s) I have in my head for that item. I have some that I crocheted 4 yrs ago still waiting. So, again, thank you, your explanation of the pattern was spot on for me and I hadn't found that until I found your channel. May God bless and keep you and yours.

This helps me so much. Thanks for all your time and work. One question, in your warping diagram, the top block that says 6 xs, actually the left column line should move over to include the last double white unshed threads, right?

How is the top of the pattern woven....no dots show? All the empty blocks are down?
@lisaash33043 жыл бұрын
Hi Maggie if you were referring to the Celtic knot pattern that I warped up in this video when you weave through the first six rows which I marked all the dots on that is the end of the pattern you just start over again on the first row that’s why I didn’t mark any of the dots beyond that point
@maggiepatterson79493 жыл бұрын
@@lisaash3304 oh...i thought this was the entire pattern. Where is the whole pattern? Thank you for responding.
@lisaash33043 жыл бұрын
@@maggiepatterson7949 I believe I snagged this pattern off of Pinterest but the 6 rows is the whole pattern. if you repeat those six rows over and over again you will end up with a beautiful Celtic knot pattern. Just ignore what I drew beyond row 6. Once you have woven to row 6 just start over again on row one again
