Thank you, seriously, thank you. I am brand new to weaving, having been intimidated for decades (did lots of other stuff, sewing, quilting, crochet) Weaving was something only super talented people did (yeah, yeah, I know, but my dyslexic mind had trouble getting wrapped around it) All I had ever been around were the massive floor looms which seemed to have so many moving parts, feet, hands, a full contact sorta craft. Then, I ran across rigid heddles looms...... A friend loaned me her 12" Ashford and I fell in love. Inkle, I am SO excited to make one and then weave on it, I can't stand myself for the excitement (my Husband's heading to elk camp and the shop is MINE :) ) Straps for days.... I love to crochet purses and bags, I rarely find the strap(s) I have in my head for that item. I have some that I crocheted 4 yrs ago still waiting. So, again, thank you, your explanation of the pattern was spot on for me and I hadn't found that until I found your channel. May God bless and keep you and yours.

I was so happy to find your video I have the same book and I tried to warp my loom a year ago and it didn't work out wasn't understanding on threading and following the pattern so this will help me a lot to be able to start using all the patterns that are in the book

Also im still learning how to do the cards on a inkle loom also im trying to figure out which way the cards go from S threaded to Z threaded. but the pick up looks very easy which ive yet to try and as you said theres not much videos out there for this kind of weaving.

Hello Lisa, What a wonderful presentation on baltic pick up warping. It took me three weeks trying to figure out on how to to baltic pick up warping by watching youtube and how they follow the pattern, ( pick up, dropping threads). I learned how to follow patterns but there was only wrong with my weaving, my warpping was wrong. I finally ( 2 am in the morning thinking) figured it out. Now I just watched you warpping for baltic weaving, I just wished I watched your presenation long long time ago. You are right there was no video or on youtube tutorial on baltic pick up warping any where. Only way to do it was to read warping instructions. Thank you very much for your wonderful presentation.

Could you please tell me what you tie too. I also cut and tie every thread change unless they are the same color. The way you do it would be a great time and thread saver.I was wondering about crossed threads.?

I’ve never made a KZfaq video but there are times I’ve searched endlessly trying to find something. I wonder if the titles of KZfaq videos make a difference? You have a short title and I don’t see the word Loom in it. How would a newbie know to search for Baltic Pickup? I’ve been watching videos for a couple weeks and this is the first I’ve heard of that. I don’t mean to discredit you in any way or your video which is really good. Do titles make a difference on KZfaq like they do on Marketplace when searching an item?

How is the top of the pattern woven....no dots show? All the empty blocks are down?

When you get to the heddle part in the long box you are calling it says it's the pedal now does that mean that if you use blue that has to be held you at all all the blue you don't go like that old non-huddle or anything like that
