Praying for you to feel better ❤🙏. I'm almost 65 and have taken an estrogen supplement (Estroven or similar) since my mid 40's and it helped tremendously.

Amor Towles is such a great storyteller I would get his first novel Rules of Civility. His most recent book is a collection of short stories and a novella at the end - Table for Two. The novella is about one of the characters from Rules of Civility. Other recommendations: Lonesome Dove -Larry McMurtry The Count of Monte Cristo - Dumas All the Colors of the Dark - Chris Whitaker The Wager - David Grann Clear - Carys Davies

I highly recommend Dr. Mary Claire Haver MD on youtube & facebook I also switched to lexapro and am feeling better

Fleuoxitine is Lexapro and was specifically geared towards women. It is an SSRI but for some reason women do really well during perimenopause and menopause on it so ask your doc about changing you over. The freezer helps great with hot flashes also. It also works quickly almost right away.

I've struggled with depression for my entire life and it can be a very isolating feeling so big thanks to you for being honest and putting it out there ❤️ I know you are into reading. I'd love to suggest a book called Feeling Good by Dr. David Byrne. It has helped me so much throughout the years. It's more of like a workbook with activities and stuff. It just helps make you more aware of your thoughts patterns, triggers etc. I highly recommend it.

I’m going to get the cat book from our library. Thank you! I don’t buy books. Our town has many Little Free Libraries which I frequent. And our Friends of the Library group sells books that have been pulled from circulation by donation. Love it! The so called “spice”, aka smut is becoming common place & socially accepted. It’s more like soft porn…so disgusting. I appreciate you being vocal about it. The Moscow book is good. I heard it read on NPR’s Chapter A Day a few yrs ago. Have you heard of/read the Caldecott award winner Island of the Blue Dolphins? My 5th grade teacher read it aloud to us. It’s still a favorite of mine & I’m a Sr citizen! I think your kids would like it. Thanks for sharing your reviews!

I’m w you re the “spice” aka smut in books…it’s a big nope! Why do they have to do that? I’d love to know the title of the cat book you just finished.😺 Thank you for sharing the reality of your life/family. It was like listening to a friend. You’re a great mom! Please take care of yourself. In my prayers.🙏🏻

My thyroid function had run so low..as I had other things to think about rather than myself..that I ended up in hospital. Long story short. Under active thyroid. Believe me I was sooo ill. The doctor even said he was surprised I could even blink as my muscles function was on zero practically. Took me 2 years to get back to normal. Such a tiny tiny gland can cause soooo many problems. A small blood test can change your life. Thank God for levothyroxine. I had too many problems to put here. I'm 100% now.❤😊

I started having these same symptoms around the age of 44 when I was diagnosed as post- menopausal. Long story short, I went through three years of hell. Finally, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos and was placed on medication for both the thyroid condition and Menopause. This changed my life. I found in my journey that obgyns were not helpful. Instead, I did some research and decided to go to an endocrinologist. Needless to say he knew exactly what was wrong. He knew exactly the medications to prescribe I wish I could help every woman going through this. I'm even thinking of starting a blog about it. It's so difficult to go through this but just know that you have to be your own advocate. Do your research. For anyone that needs help I am happy to give you information from my experience.
