There are no hats linked to that achievement. Achievements and hats are separate.

There are a few hats that require beating levels on hard mode. Maybe those are it? There's a hat for jumping off the ship after beating the final boss on Insane.

@@taechuK oh my goodness you’re a hero! 100% right btw. I’m just dumb I went through the entire game blowing up every building and grinding achievements and was SOOO CONFUSED. Came to this video and still didn’t pay close enough attention to why you were switching difficulties so often! Just finished getting every hat so thank you!

Run -> Jump -> Throw -> Jump Attack if I remember correctly. It's pretty precise, both in timing and in position/angle. Should work on all versions.

@@mindless9750 just note that this run was done on 1.1.2, which, unless you are already on it or are able to mod your switch to downpatch to a specific one, is not available anymore, so there might be stuff that doesn't work for you. The most popular patches for speedrunning are either 1.0.0, 1.1.1 or current patch (1.2.1).

i love it because it's bullshit sometimes

when you enter a co-op session, your character gets the host's mission with the current progress made. if you then leave the session, your character keeps the mission. i have a character already set-up at the boss, so i make it the host and join with my new character, then return to the menu. this puts the new character at the boss. you then just complete the mission, and since the first 6 missions have a fixed boss, you get that one instead of whatever the original boss was. this is a separate category from the regular Any% because it used an already created character for the exploit, which many would (very understandably) consider it to be unfair or invalid, but since it does beat the game (and is in itself a boss rush, which could be interesting to run), it's its own category.

Taj and Wizpig have the highest speed in a car in the game, but they also have extremely slippery movement. That movement actually allows us to drift extremely tightly, and is faster than simply driving. T.T is also not faster on plane, but the speed is about the same and T.T actually has decent turning in a plane. Not sure about hover.

I mash. I can mash up to around 11-12 times per second. There is no in-game option for turbo.

the original's scoring system makes it gives many more lives than the remake. in the original, you could get 2-3 extra lives per level, while the remake barely gives you any

If I remember correctly, if you game over after the cannon boss and the level transition happens, you can skip the cutscene, but you can't use a continue so you get a real game over.
