Very good vocals man, thanks for sharing your knowledge, what are you using for effects on your vocals? I'm guessing your using a daw worth plug ins? I'm still learning how to use compression and certain delays and reverb but your vocals sound great with this setting .

Hey. Thank you. I’m just using reverb in the desk in my studio. Nothing fancy and no compression, though it helps a lot

Do you use falsetto?
@cathaljack_vocalcoach21 күн бұрын
Rarely, or never, depending on your definition. Honestly I’m not sure if there is consensus over what exactly falsetto is. As a voice coach I would say I’m using a mix. For me, it’s how light or strong the mix is that matters. Again, for me, all good tone, even when very light, has some connect to the chest voice

Depends on your timbre as well . I can't always get that nay feeling to work
@cathaljack_vocalcoach2 ай бұрын
Hey, it can be a bit of a trick, but starting with an exaggerated, nearly cartoonish, tone usually helps
@stebolian2 ай бұрын
I appreciate your response. I actually get this at times but other times the weight won't shed and I kind of split into a fry if that makes sense or lose connection and end up to lite. It's a dam struggle to keep consistent

That actually is cause when i sing sometimes i try to scratch my voice while staying in the right note, and ill sing the right note but wont get the scratchiness just end up whispering a little bit. To fit the songs whether nirvana or anything, dont listen to the hater that commented first, theyre probably going nowhere with their life

I have plans on singing like this by using voice feminization exercises since I’m a baritone just like Brian Johnson. I know Brian doesn’t sing those high notes with falsetto
@TroubleToby30403 ай бұрын
I strongly disagree (while admitting that I could be wrong, lol.) Not only have I heard many vocal instructors opine that he is using a distorted "reinforced" falsetto, but I, personally, was able, in my twenties, to do a dead-on impression of Johnson (much more exact than this one) and I was, for sure, doing a distorted falsetto. I had to. My voice is Barry White deep by nature. I would, back when I cared to do so, bring forth a roaring, earsplitting falsetto that people said was nearly indistinguishable from Brian Johnson. I had to practice for several months to develop it.

@cathaljack_vocalcoach3 жыл бұрын
Hi Emi. It is something best done at a slow pace with a voice coach I think. The first thing is not to do any harm to your own voice. It is best learned when treated as a vocal effect added to the tone of your voice. I am a vocal coach too, perhaps I can help
