I think what ruined the Lob City Clippers was they didn't invest in any fresh legs or youthful depth on the team. They went flash over substance and it costed them.

I feel like both LA teams really need to blow up their cores at this point. I know the NBA won't like it because of the LA market and both teams not being good for a while, but both teams absolutely need to rebuild and have a massive shake up from the top down. The one thing you don't want to do is try to ride on this hamster wheel of insanity and then get forced into a rebuild.

@@luisc5323 Yes, let's try to retool a flawed, limited roster with limited flexibility, an aging star, another star that is injured a lot of times, and a front office that would rather hire "Yes Men". Trust me, you don't want to keep retooling this roster or you're going to get forced into a rebuild, especially since I believe the Pelicans, Grizzlies, and Wizards own most of the Lakers draft picks.

⁠⁠@@manzac112As someone who has been a Laker fan of 21 years, they simply haven’t been run the same way with Lebron on the team versus the Kobe era. Coaching hasn’t helped but then again there’s not a whole bunch of Phil Jackson types of coaches out there either. Even if the team can get a coach half as good as Phil Jackson was alongside the right pieces and no more going for the splash moves, they might be able to go somewhere and have success similar to the Kobe era.

Lakers are fare more terrible of late. They only got saved because Lebron decided to go there . Clippers have been much better , at least league standing wise, than Lakers of late. Thier organization is also more ruthelessly run and they don't wait for ages to make changes. A championship my not come immediately, but Clippers still been one of the most successful orgnizations , in the last 5 to 6 years at least.

As Vic the Brick stated in one broadcast about 30 years ago, CLIPPERS can be rearranged to spell C-R-I-P-P-L-E-S. It's when guys like Manning and Harper were going down with ACL's. I hate the state of the team but signing Kawhi and George put the team in the conversation for the finals when the signing and PG trade was made and in a pre-season or two since. Lob City wasn't really a realistic championship team with the Warriors in their heyday so just being considered one of the realistic favorites at any time, seems like a win considering their history. But, back to my original Vic the Brick line, they need to change the name/brand to something more LA. "Cripples" isn't good. Moving into the new arena is a perfect time for a new name. There's zero good tradition/memories with that name, so why not? BTW, great vid!

I’m a Spurs fan, but I loved watching the Sonics play. Livid would be an understatement regarding how I felt when the Sonics were moved to OKC. Ever since then, I’ve been a Thunder hater as well as hopeful that Adam Silver and the NBAPA can work something out to get basketball back in Seattle again 💚💛🏀
