2 things that stand out to me. 1 great clearing pass. He moves the puck extremely well. 2. He sees the ice. Great players seem to have 360 degree eye sight. Now you have to wonder about 2 things. 1. How will his game play out in an NHL rink. You have an extra 15 feet in width in Europe. 2. How will he play against bigger and stronger players with more hitting in the NHL. He has some good moves, but will they work in the NHL? If he can handle those 2 situations, he's going to be a dynamic player. Also if he becomes a stud, THANK YOU VANCOUVER. His pick was received for Hronek.

Reminds me alot of Heiskanen. The mix of brains and smooth skating. Looks like he's gunna be the type of guy that may never lead defensemen in points, but will help you win playoff games by playing an intelligent game.

Thank You So Much for putting this kick ass video together for ALL to see!! ASP is a total frickin stud. He will have to adjust to the lack of 15' in width on the NHL rink, I have a feeling he will do just fine!!
@chaotic426723 күн бұрын
Great skating ability, agility, and vision. My only concern is whenever he joins the big club that he doesn't hit a ceiling on the first few years. Happened with Dekeyser, who didn't have as good of a skating ability as ASP here, but his vision early on was insanely good. Then he got hurt and was never the same player. So, as a Wings fan, fingers crossed. Really need these defensive prospects to pan out sooner rather than later.

Can’t wait to see him in the winged wheel jersey. I know it’ll be 2 years since he’s playing in the SHL again then Grand Raptors to get used to NHL ice

Hopefully he's good enough to make the wings top 4 one day we need more scoring basically traded away a good D to get him
@bradmaguire961124 күн бұрын
Nah we traded away a mid tier d man who looks better than that because he's playing with the best defenseman in hockey right now, and even then Hroneks point total will never reach what ASP's will be someday, kid has elite level skill set, based on these highlights he should've had a lot more points if his teammates could actually finish, just like Danielson, who played on a sh$! team, was traded, then went up from averaging a point a game to nearly a point and a half a game post trade because he played on a better team. If you know anything about Yzerman you'll know he played on a stacked team pre draft and never was able to show his potential, thankfully the wings had a smart GM in devellano and the rest was history, yzerman knows his sh*! Because he's been there, and he learned from the best, and his doubters will be eating it very soon.
@bradmaguire961124 күн бұрын
Add to that how has Hronek looked in the playoffs? like garbage: 1 point in 12 games and minus 4, we lost nothing when we got rid of him.

I get it but TICK TOCK STEVIE- 5 Years have gone by now and the Wings are dangerously close to missing the payoffs yet again they way they are playing. St Louis was a sub-.500 team in January 2019 and won a Stanley Cup with Craig Berube taking over a team with about the same talent the Wings have now. LaLonde aka Uncle Fester is a great X's and O's coach but not an ass kicking coach we need.
