Was that ringing you mentioned a one-time transient at converter startup(it got to be it, there is 1000ms at the screen of the scope, don't know whether or not it's per div or the full sample length)?

Dual bios? I did this on an old msi motherboard i shorted the first bios and it switched it self to the backup bios! Not sure if its the same case?
