Christian author wrote a book called “The Road Home” an actual modern retelling of the story of Ruth if it happened in the modern day. It’s so good. In that story Ruth is a bar waitress from Las Vegas and Naomi was Amish from Pennsylvania. It was such a good read

You know is what’s kinda interesting about Ruth being from Moab, remember Moses, right before he died, goes up to the top of Mr Pisgah on Moab and God allows him to see the promised land!! So interesting and really beautiful to me about how good God is !!!

There’s a really good series from Pastor Mark Driscoll many years ago now called “Redeeming Ruth” it’s worth listening to especially when he talks about the meaning of the names and how it played out with the lives of the people in that book !!

I think it’s super wise to do your personal Bible study at your own pace. That’s what I do. I do keep up with the daily readings from the Bible Recap though. That’s easy. But personal Bible should be like wanting to grab a coffee and a chair and sitting down and talking with your best friend. It’s a marathon and not a sprint 😊

I learned a lot just by listening in and I’m also following the Bible Recap plan not with HeartDive with Kanoe Gibson on KZfaq/. I just listen and follow along with the reading. But I’m also streamlining my Bible study because O was getting overwhelmed. SonI just make the Sunday messages my more intensive study during the week.
