How do you know how much pressure you’ve put in the tire?
@davescycling2 күн бұрын
There are charts in the video description that show approx pressures for various tires. Also the CO2 inflator is for emergency use to inflate a tire quickly after fixing a flat out on the road. As long as you get enough pressure to continue or get home, you will be good. This has helped me out on several occasions over the years!

I also wanted to get one for each of my bikes, but then found out they are no longer made. I am guessing they stopped making them because the shape of bike down tubes has changed so radically over the years making it more difficult to make a sturdy mount. Thanks for the comment!

The Woowind will go all the way down to 0 PSI and as high as 150 PSI. I do not know what pumps you have tried but this one has been accurate at all. Different pressure levels.

It's kind of a good idea until you realize, once the gas warms up it's gonna expand. So if you're filling it completely full with cold gas before waiting for the temperature to rise, you're gonna over inflate it.
@davescycling20 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Never had an issue with overinflation. I have used this many times to inflate my road bike tires after fixing a flat.

@davescycling21 күн бұрын
This is a Presta valve. Presta valves close when there is pressure inside the tube or tire. I only loosened the lock nut, which is necessary for air or CO2 to flow into or out of a Presta valve. I did not remove the core. You can see the entire video here: How to Use a CO2 Bike Tire Inflator kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oMldddOLsZnQcZ8.html Thanks for the comment! I appreciate it!

Sure, I'll subscribe. It was a good video. I'm in the market for my first new bike in decades, literally. The last time I bought a bike at a bike shop was 1985. I've been riding again for about 15 years or so, but on "vintage" stuff. My current road bike is a 1983 Raleigh Super Course. I decided it's time to catch up with tech. In looking at bike specs I'm seeing a lot of terms I've never seen, such as thru axle.

Nothing will escape when the CO2 inflator is removed. This is a Presta valve. Presta valves close when there is pressure inside the tube or tire. Its like riding a motorcycle, very upright, and nice riding position. Lowering the seat will affect leg extension when pedalling. That flat foot tech is different to a conventional bike and feels good.

Is there an option on these computers to switch to a mountain bike mode? Or are they specific to road cycling. I don’t see one on mine and I want to put it on my mountain bike. Used in for road the last couple years.
@davescycling28 күн бұрын
I don’t see any reason that you cannot use this computer on a mountain bike, but I don’t think there is any specific mode for that. If you use a speed sensor on your mountain bike, you would just want to change the parameters on the computer for the correct wheel circumference.
