Now THIS is a useful tip. There are other ways to accomplish this, but this is very simple. Nice.

Not really wasting if he finds a melody h3 likes. Alot of people cant just come up with a pattern just off the dome, most of t he sound just comes to you. Who are you to judge his methods?

Ehh, it’s a way of exploring sound. You can know everything and exactly what to do, but if you don’t KNOW what you specifically want then things like this can be amazing. Making music should be fun, there aren’t cheat codes there’s just ways to stimulate yourself creatively :)

Sting generates random midi loops for you to choose from. It’s very useful in coming up with melodies or bass lines - or really anything - when you don’t have any inspiration.

Fire🔥 Just purchased the Vol2!
@okashasunami32

I bought this. But my saved variations are not playing. I hit random, then "new" and then I go to my variations. The only thing it plays back is the scale select. On the random racks I've created. I am able to hit the random button. Then I can save the setting when I push new. Which creates a new variation. Then I can create as many variations I want. Then I can name them and play them back. My Groove Generator 2 is not doing this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Nice track but. Bro there is everything clipping i think you should say that is not correctly mixing. after each effect should be normalized volume otherwise mixdown will be over limited
@lightburning9693
@lightburning9693 7 күн бұрын
This is common in production videos/tutorials and it is very confusing for people who are learning. Most veideo have the volume up on all the tracks and it sounds cool but it could never be used like that and when a person starts to gainstage there own mixes they never sounds as dynamic and powerful as the videos they are watching on youtube. Its can be discouraging.

It’s still really useful to gain stage because you don’t getting tricked by something being louder= better. Also there’s alot of analogue emulation plugins that you can clip.

Thats only true for certain vsts or analog emulations, not for ableton stock

That’s completely wrong so to speak. You don’t understand how Ableton works internally as to clipping. Ask support to clarify it for you and post their response 👍🏻

bro ableton doesnt clip... all the internal processes happen at 32 bit. unless your master is clipping and you export that audio, nothing ever clips in ableton.
@joshbarrett1020
@joshbarrett1020 9 күн бұрын
Bollocks. Ableton has a 32 bit floating point audio engine. The red is not showing clipping. The only place you can clip is either the master or the plug ins them selves. Don’t belive me, test it out record the audio at 32 bit past the red and the turn the audio file it’s self down, you’ll see it’s not clipping. Gain staging is still important but the reason he gives is wrong.

It’s the same if you use utility before effect or use the track volume, you’re mixing in the box. It’s just a matter of global balance, and for this, adjust each utility on each track is awfull.

Your volume should always be the same after adding processing. In mixer view there are volume meters that show you the volume in numbers. Take a note of this number before and after processing.
@INNERMONO_
@INNERMONO_ 10 күн бұрын
even better use the free m4l device vc3.5 you just add one before and after your processing in the chain and it will give you the values before/after.
