Hello, I have a baby lovebird with splayed legs. I bought leg splints to help correct the issue, but I'm not sure exactly where to place them. Should I put them after the toes or above the joint? The splints I have are size 6, and they fit the leg well. However, when I place them higher up near the thigh or just above the joint, I can't close the splints because they are too tight. Where are the splints usually placed? The chick is 13 days old. thank you

Hi! Do you know if this works for pigeons too? When is it a problem? Do people really puncture their crop to let the air out. I have a week old baby pigeon and he constantly has air in their crop. Makes it scary to feed them. I try massaging it but not all of it comes out. Then he seems to fill it up again

This really helped me and my mum with a baby sparrow she rescued. ( she doesn’t usually rescue sparrows, it will usually be pigeons ) thank you! The birds name is Elvy and is doing fine now.

Hot water dissolves lead more quickly than cold water and hot water dissolves copper from the pipes. Hot tapwater also contains bacteria. 130 is not enough for bacteria to die. Never use water from the hot water tap for drinking, cooking, or making baby formula. And of course not for birds. Open the tap, let cold water run and then boil it and let is cool.

I have a cockatiel hatchling father is a white face and mother is yellow with orange patch on cheek, they had 2 and 1 came out of the nest parents still fed but they where pecking on the baby bird I didn't know what to do, I asked a pet shop owner and advice to put it back inside.
