Unfortunately these later types of Jonsereds are nothing but painted red Husqvarnas. Not so rugged and sturdy as they used to be. And now they are no more. Husqvarna stopped making "Jonsereds" because no one wanted them, because they were just flimsy painted red Husqvarnas.

Long shot as nobody seems to know...anyone know how and where on the trigger the spring locates into on a Jonsered 2165? Know the operator presence location, but the trigger part if driving me insane.
@andysears555210 ай бұрын
This may help others...Trial and error showed the way! The spring locates into the trigger by hooking into a small recess at the front right side of the throttle cable cam wheel on the trigger. You have to hold the spring tilted to the left 90 degrees, feed it under the plastic protrusion molded into the left side of the saw's handle (inside the handle where the safety trigger goes), there is a small channel built into the left side of the throttle cable cam wheel, slide the spring end along this channel until the front area of the cam is reached (nearest the saw engine), then the really fiddly bit is trying to locate the hooked end of the spring into the small trigger recess, not on, but on the right of the cam wheel (not on the cam wheel)...really fiddly to get it right, took me hours!

My father was a tree topper in the New Hampshire White Mountains back in the late 1930's before the war. I don't know much about that time of his life, but the few stories he told seems he was quite fond of it.

@@gerryplante2651 Always love to hear those old stories from the climbers and loggers back in the day! If you ever get a chance just to go up one tree definitely take it because it’s an experience you’ll never forget!
@gerryplante2651 Жыл бұрын
@@foxhollerhomestead I bet those stories are great. I imagine you enjoyed being up there. I am past those days. In my younger days I was a professional firefighter occasionally assigned to the ladder company. We had a hundred footer and I enjoyed being up there though most the time not as high and in smoke and bad weather. I was also on the repelling rescue team. I was always exciting repelling down a cliff. Now I don’t much venture too high.

They need a distraction to cover up the fact that Jonsered made better saws 50 years ago than they do today.
