Hi Marcus. Brilliant track plan on a brilliant layout. You're modeling skills are superb, well done buddy. Love you're baseboards look so well made. Because I only have a 10ftx10ft layout mine looks a bit cramped as well, didn't have a choice if I wanted 4 running tracks. Brilliant your have nice long sidings. I'm a technophobe so electrical bits go mostly over my head.☹ OK with dc though.👍 Thank you for subscribing, subscribed back.🌝 Thanks for showing us Marcus. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete.....

Any chance you can show how you changed your class 56s to transrail? I have 2 and was looking to try and do the same.

I really liked you're method of putting the flangeway into the hard standing... it looked really good. I bet your layout had a good covering of concrete dust over it though, except where that red cloth was, with you blowing the dust from the flangeway instead of hoovering it up, and not attaching a vacuum to your electric sander to catch the dust from that, you must have spent more time cleaning up the dust than you spent doing the project. It looks as though you could have done with wiping a damp cloth over the concrete before the wash as it looked as though you were brushing dust up when you started brushing the wash on. A suggestion if you do it again is maybe using a metal plasterers trowel to put the mixture down and then letting it dry for a short while, like you did, and then finishing it off with the trowel wet in a bucket of water and cleaned each pass like ive seen plasterers do when they put the finish to plastered walls.

Hi Marcus. Brilliant update buddy. Trying to get some diesel pumps having a bit of a job getting them, like your ones. Like the concrete base you have done for your sheds, look realistic. Going to try filler for my base. Did experiment with my small engine shed looks pretty good. Don't know if I'm going to vlog it in case I cock up.😒 Brilliant layout. Thanks for the update mucker. .... Pete....

Nice to see scenery rather than the easy option of retaining walls with different levels of track. The amount of time making all those trees must have seemed like forever!. It looks fantastic, so can’t wait to see what comes next. You have a new subscriber.

Hi, for some reason KZfaq never informs me when you post a new video, and I've been subscribed for ages. You have a really great layout there, and some great scenery and modelling skills. When you described the unfinished board behind the station, the beige colour of the board reminded me of a beach scene going off into the distance. It was only when I looked again I realised it was plain board.........I think maybe the white paint or glue on the wood appeared like waves in some weird way............Anyway, a great layout, thankyou, all the best Dave.

Your modeling skills are awesome. Like you I built a layout, then had to move, not only to another house but another country on a different continent. So goodbye old layout. The new layout, begun 2018 is much bigger with 80 feet of sceniced main line, and probably as I am now in my eighties rather too ambitious. It has a lot of scenery and I am eagerly awaiting your video on trees and shrubbery. You, sir, are a master modeler.

Just a quick question, as you’ve said in a previous video all the fiddle yard points are manually operated, how do you intend to reach them with a backscene board in the way? Great video though, it’s a very enjoyable series! Cheers, Ollie

@@GowertonParkway just watched the latest video, better but not quite right, I’ve noticed a lot of layouts with road vehicles placed in areas where when you look closer you realise that vehicle doesn’t have road access, it’s probably me being old and picky but a wagon running trackside on the ballast isn’t quite right 🙄🤣 I used to haul for a firm called Quattro based in Stratford London pulling rail maintenance equipment for Network Rail and their sub contractors, moving equipment to derailments, engineering works, sidings and depots etc, so for me the road vehicle side of the layout is as important as the rest…. I’ll shut up now🤣👍🏻

Great video! Being following you for years and you're a massive inspiration. You even motivated me to go up in the loft tonight 😅 I'm a bit behind you (still cutting plywood) and have a young'un so just stealing an hour or so here and there when I can. I'm modeling early 2000s too and have lots of Cararama cars as they do loads of stuff for that era (Volvo, Saab, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Ford, Fiat etc). I've bought loads off eBay over the years. Abrex also do 1/72 Skodas which come in handy too.

Should have used a tamping bar like they use in full scale would have got it level in no time. Concrete sets better if you bring moisture to the surface. Weathered Concrete doesn't really have any light patches, by it's nature unless sealed it absorbs any spillages (Diesel, Oil, Grease or Paint). Concrete/Cement dust is not very good for your lungs hope you were wearing a filter mask.

If you want to add another level of real life loco depots etc you need to add more dropped oil on the track, just think about where the locos stand and just go full send on the black oil, back in the 90`s we never gave a s*** about oil contamination on the ground and where locos stood or driver stopped locos and changed ends the ground was filthy, it does look good right now but add more dirt and more crap... cracking layout.

Stunning - what a superb layout! Brings back so many memories of when South Wales still had so many interesting workings. I've always been into photographing loco's and it was shortly after this time with the invasion of the red sheds that I lost most interest, so it's great to see the area recreated so well! I immediately recognised the sadly no more 'Margam TMD' and also 'Rhymney' a.k.a. the Vale...!! As to the real railway round here, I paid a now rare visit to Margam Knuckle Yard this week, and the place is now looking incredibly sad.... Really good modelling to bring back the good times! Keith
