I listen to this masterpiece nightly. No matter the trauma of the day this calms me. This puts me in a place i wish i could stay forever.

I downloaded this song in the 2000s and it was labeled as "Pennywise" or "NOFX" or something like that and it only lived in my head for years, since 2003 I was wondering who sang this song and this live version and it's today when I found it.

Clash really enjoyed the American Urban world, especially the music at this time, but Punkers definitely did Not, at least not American Punks. Clash didn't realize that city kids in America had that music pushed on them all the time, and the people that liked that music were not..... let's just say... Open to Punks at this point. I still don't think they've Opened to Punk. Joe Strummer and others used to get down on Punks for supposedly being Close minded about this, but they never saw it from the side of the kid who's been living with it. The dudes in the city who the Clash were holding up high for their Music and background didn't give a Rat's fart about the Sandanista's...... Joe Strummer, etc weren't "Realists" anymore.

Iconic like when Jimmy played with the violin arch…. That just goes to show how innovative and creative their minds work. It’s just 0.000001% of regular people would ever dare to think or even imagine on a daily basis. They’re geniuses for sure, of course in their own style 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 a great way to celebrate music and rock
