My interface can read the gauge, if the parameter is available in software (yes, using HPTUNERS the PID is there) I would not need the AEM adapter piggybacking between OBD2 port-- gauge controller -- HPT interface. The AEM inline adapter works but with the adapter and interface it's dangerously long and gets kicked/unplugged and feet get can get tangled in all the wires shifting. Does it matter how many devices are on a CanBus? I think the adapter plug just injects the Can hi and Can lo into the normal stream.

I know this video is old but here me out. Im doing a very similar project and moving the muddy water is a big challenge. The bucket/vaccum option is very cumbersome.And a trash pump is expensive . They make a pressure washer powered device mainly used in the plumbing industry commonly named a "sludge sucker". It uses your pressure washer to create a vacuum which will suck muddy water, rocks, etc and move it very very fast. Much faster than the shop vac.Yes using water pressure to move muddy water!! Connected to a 2 inch hose you can quickly fill up a wheel barrow or use a longer hose and move all the muddy water somewhere else out of the way. You have an almost clog proof pump since the pressure washer jet is constantly shooting up and through the hose. No moving parts, no expensive pumps to buy, its really just a fancy pressure washer attachment. This concept is also widely used in the gold prospecting community to dredge river and lake bottoms they tend to call it a "jet pump" but the concept is much the same.

I tried that crappy $60 device (yeah, I fell into the hype, sadly!) and found out that it drains your battery, as it flashes red and green, even when the ignition is OFF and the key is outta the ignition, and even when you lock your car doors! You can easily see the flashing red/green, at night time, under the steering wheel! I will be returning it, post haste, for a full refund! I never even tried it out, as I was searching for why it flashes red/green when the car is off, and that is when I stumbled upon 3 or more videos saying this device is a scam! Thanks for posting!

I will say upfront that I think using these, tuners as they are called, are a bad idea. The risk/reward is not worth it. That said, A car warranty is rarely voided. I worked for the Customer Service Division of a major auto manufacturer for years. I can count on one hand the times I saw a vehicle with an actual voided warranty due to a modification the customer made to the vehicle. The company cannot refuse warranty service on a vehicle unless they can prove the device caused the needed warranty repair. That is the rub. They can refuse your repair and then you are stuck going after them in court or through arbitration. So, they do have the upper hand. However, there is something called the Magnusson-Moss warranty act of 1986. Lawyers often use it, and I am paraphrasing here, because if they go to court and prove the manufacturer illegally denied, what the court determines is a legitimate warranty claim, you can receive up to triple damages plus reasonable attorney's fees. Another option you have is the BBB auto arbitration program. You can ask for your claim to be put in front of group of independent arbitrators. The program is free. A group of people with experience dealing with vehicle repair and/or arbitration will review your case. However, you will have to prove to them that the device didn't hurt the vehicle. The manufacturer submits a written report, as do the dealer and you the customer. Another uphill battle, but not an insurmountable obstacle. At has been my experience that they tend to lean the direction of the customer on a coin toss case. Hope this helps.

This POS does not work. I used it for 28 days and my car got the same gas mileage, except for the fact that this unit almost took out my catalytic converter. The fist week while using this Chinese POS, my check engine light came on. I scanned the car for codes and it said my catalytic converter was bad. I removed the fuel saver unit and a few days later the code was gone. I reinstalled the fuel saver and 2 days later the code came back. Now, this unit steals so much power from your vehicle that it is dangerous to use when the AC is on. The car actually chokes out so bad that you cant hardly accelerate. After testing for 28 days, I decided to get a refund. However I only got 50% back. Why? because you have to send the unit back to the company and with shipping prices at an all time hi, it would have cost almost $10.00 to send back. This company knows this and they offer a 50% refund and you keep the unit. Very dangerous item and potentially expensive damage done to your car while trying to save a few buck per week in gas. It has taken me almost 1 month to the catalytic converter code to stop coming on. I have had to clear the code 4 time now. The code hasn't showed back up for a week now and the original power and gas mileage is back to normal.
