Just been gifted a Kawasaki zx9R 900cc and I’ve been super super anxious about every part of it and especially the timing and having to do gears. This video has helped me reinforce all of the most important steps in my memory so now once on the bike. Your steps will be in my mind. So far I’ve learnt •Key in •Press red button. •Make sure bike is neutral •Hold clutch down without throttle and kick gear shifter down to enter 1st •Let off the clutch without throttle to get moving •once I’ve practiced on roll mode, and know how to turn and maybe lean a little in a parking lot, then practice really gently applying gas

@@streetdreamz8056 bro I have a question. What would cause the bike not to want to get into gear. Like it didn’t want to get into neutral. Did I do something wrong? @@streetdreamz8056 I couldn’t get it to turn on because of the fact that I couldn’t get the bike to get in neutral. I kept trying. Do you think it can be the key? The key is kind of bent and I have to finagle it so it can turn, but even so.. I took the key out and after 15 mins or so I tried again and it finally went into N and I was able to turn it on

I just got my endorsement after doing the safety course, I’ve been trolling around parking lots with my buddies cbr600rr at first I was nervous because I wasn’t expecting the power. But I adjusted to the bike and started feeling more comfortable and realizing when the power starts to come in which for that bike the difference is at 15mph and just goes up from there.

The new zx6r has customizable power gains which I think IS GREAT for new riders who want a long term investment. Having customizable power bands means as the rider progresses, he can adjust to his riding skills as he progresses. Unlike the gsxr600, your just gonna kill yourself from the get-go. You have no control over that powerband.

Its going to be tuff at 5'3 the bike can be lowered but not much out of factory. The thing i see shorter people do that i ride with is always make sure when coming to a stop that they are in 1st gear. lean your body to one side of the bike (Preferably your stronger leg) and just 1 leg it.. tip toes i dont think will work at that height to be honest. hope this helps

so when you talk about not exceeding the RPM when downshifting- how do you know you’re not exceeding the specific RPM limit of the last gear you were in?? is that the 8,000, or is that something different for each gear?
@streetdreamz8056
@streetdreamz8056 2 ай бұрын
its 8k for every gear change.. by the time you get to 5th gear using 8k to gear change you'll be right around 100mph using this method.. (side note) 2nd gears max rpm can hit 100mph alone. so by you being in 5th gear theres plently of room to drop down because your not exceeding 2nd gears max rpm speed of 100mph
@streetdreamz8056
