The cam in this kit is not VVT, so if you are install it you will lose the VVT. The performance numbers you are quoting are a little off. The performance numbers quoted by HD for the bikes are at the crank, but the performance numbers quoted by HD for the upgrade kit or crate engine (for the first time ever) are actually at the rear wheel, so it is actually are bigger power jump…

Hey Tom, here’s my thinking I have the 24 CVOST Brand new with only 1 mile on her. I’m considering getting the new 135 crate motor and swapping out my motor instead of doing the upgrade kit you get a bigger crank and my dealership told me the labor is about $400 less to swap the motor. Also I could probably sell the 121 motor with only 1 mile on it for a few bucks to help offset somecost. Your thoughts? Thanks 😊

This is a fixable issue. HD fixed my ticking problem by replacing the BCM. I posted what happened, but my post has been removed? oh well.
@ITFZone15 сағат бұрын
Wow a BCM swap, I would think then an BCM update would resolve it. Sorry not aware of your previous post or anything being removed, I have never removed a comment on my channel.
@RedDevilinCali14 сағат бұрын
@@ITFZone Not sure why it was removed, I didn't say anything bad. Just how it took 10 months for HD to fix, as it was difficult to diagnose. But ultimately they replaced my 23 BCM with a 24 BCM (at least that is what they told me LOL). My ticking was very loud and you could hear it from 10-15 feet away when ambient noise was absent. However, I did eventually have to call Wisconsen HD HQ to try to get help with the issues as the HD dealership could not fix it over 10 months; however that same day the dealership called later and said a regional expert technician was coming to and wanted to look at it due to my call to HD HQ. I took it in and he showed me the large parasitic draw with on a meter and ultimately convey that to fix it the BCM had to be replaced. In the end I am happy, but the ticking stressed my out for a long time, especially spending almost 60k at the dealership on the bike and upgrades...
@ITFZone14 сағат бұрын
Ah, sounds a bit different that what I am seeing. No parasitic draw but the ticking remains. I will see if I can get my dealer to try a '24 BCM. Appreciate the update my bike continues to click! No issues as a result but I HATE it!
@RedDevilinCali13 сағат бұрын
@@ITFZone Yeah, that clicking sucks. The regional technician showed me the meter and one of the saddlebag relays was continuing to receive a small electrical current and the other did not while the bike was turned off and he said neither one should be receiving any current. My clicking was loud to me and was becoming deafening over the months LOL. Good luck!!

thank you for these videos again. Quick question, I have never updated my bike, however, the few times i have taken my bike in for service, the HD service shop conveyed they did some updates, but did not state if they did all the updates. So, I don't know if my bike needs additional updates. So, my question is when you update the bike with the most current update provided, does it update all things available, or do you have to go through and update each specific update available to correct each individual issue? Really not sure why the bike connects to Wi-Fi, i did connect it to my Wi-Fi, as I initially thought the bike would update itself similar to my phone apps updating themselves LOL. Thank you
@ITFZoneКүн бұрын
Hello! The infotainment system does NOT pull updates over WIFI. Though it should and I think it could. There are 4 different updates for these new bikes. The SkyLine OS, Amplifier (these 2 can be done by the consumer), ECM and BCM ( these can only be applied by an HD Tech with a digital tech tool. I suspect your dealer would be applying the BCM and ECM updates but not necessarily the other 2 but you can verify this by going to System - Product Info - SkyLine OS version. Latest is: 240002237D To check the AMP go to the Sound menu - speaker configuration. In the AMP info screen you are looking for 1.3.8

thanks for the video. I have the 2023 RG CVO and am constantly losing Bluetooth connection, it so irritating. So, are you saying that with the devices, that my iPhone will be directly connected to the bike and will not have to rely on the Bluetooth? If so, do you also turn off the blue tooth on the iPhone or do you leave it on? Does the bike decide how to pull the information from the phone, in otherwards if I have the iPhone Bluetooth on and connected with these devices, does the bike decide to receive information from the wired connections over the Bluetooth or vise versa? thank you. Just trying to determine if I need to disable the Bluetooth, if I am wanting a constant connection to the iPhone with the wired connections, because I am so tired of losing connection to phone. Thank you
@ITFZoneКүн бұрын
If you delete the CarPlay paring - settings - carplay then connect your phone to the bike via USB it will prompt to enable wireless CarPlay which you would decline. This will ensure its not using BlueTooth. HOWEVER you will still need a headset for CarPlay and the only way to do this is via BlueTooth, you cannot connect a headset via wire. However since this video I showed how to install this option under the seat. I have found this work really well and then eliminates the need for this adapter. NOW as to which headset adapter you pick will determine how realiable it connects and stay connect. I purchased several that would not stay connected. The UGreen and MadeHawk ones work well. But I am using a different UGreen than most other KZfaqrs. Check out the description of this video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbeJmpWXztTef3U.html

This is another example of HD going backwards with the 24 model. My 19 RGS has the USB-A connector in the right hand cubby hole, this is where I plug my memory stick with all my music. Under the right hand cubby hole is a cigarette lighter power outlet, normally I have a 2 port USB-A adapter there where I can charge actually 2 phones with keeping them dry in my right cubby hole, or take the USB adapter out and plug my tire pump in. Im guessing when I get a 24 later this year Im gonna have to get my drill out and mount a permanent output socket somewhere.
@ITFZone5 күн бұрын
I think a good option is to run the battery tender from the heated gear to the front under the tank. This would give you a powered USBA a port up front that you could split into more than one port. Since you have a full 12V to work with it will easily split into multiple ports. As far as mounting I really thing a handlebar mount USB splitter would work well. The other option is to find 12V in the fairing, like from the AMP. Harley could easily have Rockford Fosgate give us powered usb port off the amp into the left cubby on a RG or 2 ports in the SG tray!

Hi, Your videos are a testimony as to how it should be done. Not over fluffed with unnecessary on and on and on commentary. Everything is to the point and succinct with the right amount of information. To that point I am wondering if you are aware of any 24's that won't accept the download. I recently purchased a 24 Road Glide and found that the software upgrades weren't performed. I purchased the Stage 2 speaker and amp kit front and rear, installed it and found that the amp version is stuck at the 1330 version from 2023 and any attempt at upgrading fails. On top of that, the amp disappears overnight from the system and I have had to reset by pulling the main fuse. I believe it is the wires supplied with the rear speaker kit that do not match the color coding of the instructions. The dealer is as mystified as I am. Any suggestions?
@ITFZone6 күн бұрын
Appreciate your feedback! I would try a USB drive with JUST the .srec file on it from the 2nd update. This is the AMP update and I have had luck with viewers just trying the amp update separate from the rest of it. When you say it fails what is the error message if any? As for wire color, being all Rockford stuff I would expect them to match. Not sure here, would love to see a photo of what you are seeing, feel free to email me: [email protected]
