My rain lilly is in my pond for the summer and in the winter it lives in my basement bathroom in a rubbermaid tote with water and lights. I need to split mine because it's now too large for the floating island it is in.

If anyone here removed soil from root ball or pruned the root do not water the plant after repot, I lost a few prebonsai to root rot because of that beginner mistake.

Thank you sir very eloquent Succinct and informative. I used a large garbage bin and put a bunch of cuttings from my vegetable garden/broccoli cauliflower leaves as well as banana leaves inside. While I did try and turn it, but there was no holes for ventilation. I did get some gooey compost but at the bottom was a few liters of the most foul brown smelling liquid. I’m glad I saw this video before dumping it on my prized vegetable garden . My options would be Number one, throwing it Away Number two throwing a bunch of leaves, cardboard, etc., and hoping that that would soak it up? Number three pouring it in some buckets and leaving it in the sun until it doesn’t stink anymore and then using it, etc.? Enjoyed your explanation and will look at your other videos all the best from California.

I got a bougainvilla in clay soil grow bag. Clay soil becomes solid so i thought better to loosen it an release base roots . While loosening in water Minor roots got damaged and one long root got somewhat severed a bit not fully so i just packed it in the clay soil and repotted it. Do u think it will die? Was it safe to repot as it is because the rootball looked rock solid?

I am watching this a few years after you made this video for making cuttings to my Thunbergia Alata, for use on the well drained soil. I know you said using a good portion of garden soil, but not in full because they retain water. This in mind, would you recommend sand as another portion for the mix? Or would pebbles work as well? (washed of course) and what is your standard mix ratio when propagating vine cuttings? Thank you!
