WOW! It caught my attention couple of years ago when we visited Swamy nursery n I picked it up immediately as I loved d color combination. It's growing well however I have not attempted to propagate it, shall do so shortly. Tq for making this video- I got to know d name of this plant.

Love the color and would love to plant one here in my region (tropic)… but I already have another climbing tuber (Flame Lily) 😅 I heard planting more than one tuber in the same plot will degrade the soil faster, which means more fertilizer. I mainly rely on goat manure (slow degradation) because it's easily accessible here, so I can't fertilize the soil too often

Question, I have a murderous time trying to keep my black sweet potato vines black. The foliage is nice and dark when it first unfolds but as it ages, it fades to a washed out brownish purple. I end up cutting it all back, then the leaves start out being nice and black again but then the cycle begins again.

So these are offshoots of the original sweet potatoes and have been hybridized for their various colors...so this is normal in the purple ones the chartreuse and the pink frost don't exhibit these tendencies, however.

It's edible but not tasty. Always better to not eat ornamental plants

These are ornamentals please leave the plant alone. Though edible don't eat anything that is ornamental
