When i first started my research which was by accident i wanted to look at the verse do not divide into sects, but then i clicked on the verse 3:103 hold firmly the rope of allah and do not be divided……. Then i was wondering about something similar about the rope of Allah adn I remembered the hadith al thaqalayn jami at tirmidhi 3788: Narrated Zaid bin Arqam, may Allah be pleased with both of them: that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed, I am leaving among you, that which if you hold fast to them, you shall not be misguided after me. One of them is greater than the other: The Book of Allah is a rope extended from the sky to the earth, and my family - the people of my house - and they shall not split until they meet at the Hawd, so look at how you deal with them after me." Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3788 Grade: Sahih (Darussalam) Now what have established through this hadith is that the rope of Allah is the quran “the book of Allah is a rope extended from the sky to the earth, and my family they shall not split” So Quran and AhlulBayt(AS) is the rope of Allah. Anyways i went back to the verse and looked at the tafsir of ibn kathir and there he said that the rope of Allah refers to Allahs convenant. Which also reminded me of the verse 2:124 ۞ وَإِذِ ٱبْتَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ رَبُّهُۥ بِكَلِمَـٰتٍۢ فَأَتَمَّهُنَّ ۖ قَالَ إِنِّى جَاعِلُكَ لِلنَّاسِ إِمَامًۭا ۖ قَالَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِى ۖ قَالَ لَا يَنَالُ عَهْدِى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ١٢٤ ˹Remember˺ when Abraham was tested by his Lord with ˹certain˺ commandments, which he fulfilled. Allah said, “I will certainly make you into a role model for the people.” Abraham asked, “What about my offspring?” Allah replied, “My covenant is not extended to the wrongdoers.” So Ibrahim (AS) became an Imam which ibn kathir says (leader for mankind to follow you) And when Ibrahim (AS) asked the same thing for his children Allah replied with “my convenant is not extended to the wrongdoers” which means Allahs convenant=Imamate and if ya disagree then i have a question/ if Allah convenant has nothing to do with Imamate then Why the exalted mention it when Ibrahim (AS) asked if his family was Imams? But moving you still believe that the hadith 3788 has nothing to do with successors then look at this hadith by Musnad Ahmed Ibn Hanbal: hadith 21654 “I have left among two successors, quran and my family they will not seperate until they have met each other at the Hawd. The Ahlulbayt are his successors and they are not the wrongdoers why/ because of Ayat 33:33 وَقَرْنَ فِى بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلَا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ ٱلْجَـٰهِلِيَّةِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ ۖ وَأَقِمْنَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتِينَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَأَطِعْنَ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ ٱلرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًۭا ٣٣ Settle in your homes, and do not display yourselves as women did in the days of ˹pre-Islamic˺ ignorance. 'Ali. He wrapped hitn under it, then came Husain and he wrapped him under it along with the other one (Hasan). Then came Fatima and he took her under it, then came 'Ali and he also took him under it and then said: Allah only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, O people of the household, and purify you (thorough purifying) Sahih Muslim 2424 The hadith clearly mentions only that 5 purified members of the household, if ya wondering about the rest then the answer is they weren’t born at that time. Not only that in Tafsir al Tabari v19 i think in page 106 there is an authentic narration that says that Imam Zain ul Abdeen was apart of the Ahlul Kisa and my question is that/ if the rest of the Imams are from the Ahlul Kisa the why zain ul abdeen apart of it? Of course the rest of Imams are apart of it including Imam Al Mehdi since he is from the family tree of Fatima Al Zahar (SA) according to Sahih Jami Saghir Waziadt v1 page 1140 hadith 6734 says That Mehdi is from my family the children of Fatima Sahih Now is there more of These Convenant verses in the quran? The answer is=yes 5:12 ۞ وَلَقَدْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَـٰقَ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ ٱثْنَىْ عَشَرَ نَقِيبًۭا ۖ وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ إِنِّى مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَئِنْ أَقَمْتُمُ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَيْتُمُ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَءَامَنتُم بِرُسُلِى وَعَزَّرْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَقْرَضْتُمُ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا لَّأُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنكُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ وَلَأُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنَّـٰتٍۢ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ مِنكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَآءَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ١٢ Allah made a covenant with the Children of Israel and appointed twelve leaders from among them and ˹then˺ said, “I am truly with you. If you establish prayer, pay alms-tax, believe in My messengers, support them, and lend to Allah a good loan, I will certainly forgive your sins and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow. And whoever among you disbelieves afterwards has truly strayed from the Right Way.” - Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran “Allah Made a convenant with the children of Israel and APPOINTED TWELVE LEADERS FROM AMONGST THEM…….. So Allahs Convenant includes twelve Imams and Allahs convenant is also the rope which is the quran and The Ahlulbayt (AS) And to answer the grand sunni question/ where does it say to follow 12 Imams? 3:103 وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِحَبْلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا۟ ۚ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَآءًۭ فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِۦٓ إِخْوَٰنًۭا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ ١٠٣ And hold firmly together to the rope of Allah[1] and do not be divided. Remember Allah’s favour upon you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts, so you-by His grace-became brothers. And you were at the brink of a fiery pit and He saved you from it. To properly acquire this question's answer you'll have to read the history of Hadith ( traditions ). After the death of the Prophet, there came division because the Muslims disobeyed the Prophet's command and didn't obey Imam Ali a.s who was appointed by God to be the Prophet's successor The Prophet made it clear who the guide of the community would be after him. Since the new government formed was built on misguidance, they made sure to change everything possible. Distortion of book was just one thing of the many these caliphs did. The famous hadith ban by Umar ( 2nd caliph) is recorded in books of history where he prohibits Muslims from writing down hadith. This ban was carried out until the time of Umar bin Abdul Aziz that is, for approximately a hundred years. Now you can imagine yourself the number of changes that occurred in this span of approximately a hundred years. Now Bukhari comes 200 years after the prophet's death and writes this book, imagine what the guy even ended up collecting??!! Just reading Bukharis book and seeing the nonsense mentioned in it is enough for one to leave islam. As for the goat eating The scripture, YES this is mentioned in both sunni and shia sources. This was just a summarised answer on why Bukhari's book is not trustworthy. Now as for us, we take our religion from the Prophet's real successors ( 12 Imams ) and the True guides of this community after him. They made sure that their companions wrote the traditions in their presence and would tell them to preserve them. The Traditions written by companions were then practiced by the Shias of that time and were quite famous among them and it kept getting passed on. Eventually, our Scholars collected these all books written by companions of Imams and wrote all the traditions from it in a book, and those books are today our books of hadith like Al Kaafi, Man La Yahduruhu al-Faqih, Tahdhib al-Ahkam , Al-Istibsar and so on....

Stick to three things mentioned in verse 2:62 viz. Belief in God, Belief in the Hereafter, and performance of Good Deeds. All other polemics are useless.

There is no good in Bukhari but as for Al Kaafi, it is one of the pearls from the treasure of knowledge of the prophet's family.
