Why do I like the start of the episode more than I do the rest with Duncan. Thomas’s branch line theme works so well for skarloey and his dynamic with rusty is 😘. You use the muffle mountain hill in every remake just about

Another wonderful custom set! Love that you made one that’s mostly road and Horrid Lorry was the perfect episode to choose.

I think why Sam or Phillip hasn’t been brought back in anything Wiggles related (outside of Sam being the documentary; which doesn’t say as much) is because of the group’s lack of transparency when it comes their contributions and departures.

I absolutely love this set! It also helps as it’s my favorite episode. I have also tried making sets based on episodes on my channel if you’d like to see them (they aren’t nearly as good as this though)

I once built a layout that was very similar to this, though it was based on one from the 1999 Thomas Wooden Railway yearbook. I substituted a few destinations, such as Toby's Windmill for the Grain Loader, the Sesame Street Suspension Bridge by Tootsietoy for the Sodor Bay Bridge, and the Maxim Engine Shed for The Works. I also used a diamond-shaped crossing by Maxim as a substitute for the Switchyard Track. You can see a picture of that layout in the Thomas Wooden Railway subreddit.

I like to use the works as a works instead of sheds myself most of the time, as I recently have come into ownership of 3 more sheds making my total 5, as such I have no need for them as sheds anymore so it’s cool to use them for works.

I still don’t get how they made the so for railway repair of all characters but no bear. I get he wasn’t In the tvs but in the rws he was one of the main characters and the sodor railway repair was on one page of the rws not speaking.

This is the only set I own other than a few I Happen to own the parts for but didn’t get them together as a set. I might have to build this.

This set is awesome already but the expanded version makes it even more cool!

This should be in the new TWR range!

I know the blueprints are probably confined to a play table but having the right track of the works shed end in a siding instead of a reversing loop is a missed opportunity. Other than that there’s a lot going for the blueprints of this layout

Wow, there's a lot of food for thought. Personally, I would have used two sets of slope track, with one set on either end of a straight track to bridge the gap so you can make a sizable length of track just float away, as well as giving it a sort of rickety, unsound appearance since it dips at the ends (which also distinguishes it as something other than an ordinary length of track). Then I would have just use the arch stone bridge as the focus so kids can just knock the top off of it. Then I would have turned the layout into a figure 8 with a crossing piece or switches, with the second loop running parallel to the "river" for a short distance and having a station and the water mill on either side of that length to represent the town for whose safety Toby fears at the start of the episode. Maybe add a barrel loader to the town to give it a sense that there are actual people in there, people who the engines would work with and be concerned for the safety of, while also adding some more interest to the layout without standing out like an industrial crane. Then again, I haven't studied what is and isn't feasible for a wooden railway set, and you've pointed out how much you're already stretching the envelope, so maybe this wouldn't be realistic? I like the idea, though. My favorite of your sets so far has to be the one for Bowled Out. I immediately thought "Bertie's BRIDGE!!!" when I saw the arch stone bridge, and it was a great take on the figure-8 loop set.
