Nice video, thank you. Do you ever use rooting hormone and if so what kind and do you think it improves the chances? What kind of fertilizer do you give to stimmulate root growth on black pines?

Sir, the cuttings once they have roots … how often do you water them in the 100% akadama soil? So, how to know when to water them again?

Hi, I'm writing from Italy. I had already commented on one of your videos . I'm still waiting for a video where you explain how to grow chojubai all year round, pruning, defoliation, fertilization and if possible explain how to create clump style or tree from cuttings. I have two large ones and I constantly take cuttings, because in Italy it has been forbidden to import rosaceae. think I can't find a white chojubai anywhere. Thank you

I love all your black pine’s they look very beautiful. You make a good point about the first branch if you have first branch then rest of the tree will be ok also back branches are so important for depth to make tree look dimension. Thank you for your video’s very happy

hi from italy i have question . umemodoki bonsai. or in English winterberry. do you know it? I would like to know how to prune, if it is vigorous enough to create new branches from the trunk and how to do it (pruning or pinching) to have berries close to the trunk to create a shohin (I also have a male one), thanks

Should we wrap the wire around the trunk as we do for Witing branches or we wrap it around the trunk in separate circles? This is important for me. Appteciate your reply already 🙏🙏

This is as we do wiring to branches to style it. Same way

"Water well when it dries" ... Sir how dry should the soil be before watering again? I'm asking this because if you let the soil dry too much = the fine feeder roots may die.

Hi I read somewhere that tapping the trunk with a small hammer (ball pein hammer) damages the cambium and the tree repairs the damage which also thickens it quicker, Maybe hitting the thin bottom thinner part in this way will make it catch up the thicker wire treated part 🤔
@steveanacorteswa39797 ай бұрын
I have seen another where they take a group of nails and poke the trunk where they want it to thicken, I think I am going to try that on some reverse taper locations.

I watched your video with great interest and had several questions. To thicken the area of the trunk near the roots on your white pine, can we wrap some wire there? I often see trees that have a fairly even trunk thickness, but they have been thickened with wire. Do you need to tighten the wire when winding, as you did in the video about air layering?How old is your white pine?
