I don't think you were capitalizing on the render distance at the max, because you can see the cutoff at the edge. Distant horizons doesn't load chunks outside your normal area, so the chunks you were seeing were only ones that you had already loaded. You saw this issue a lot more in the amplified world. If you download a mod called "chunky", you can load all the chunks without flying around for hours, and then boot it again to see true 512 render distance. Google it and I think you'll have an even better view, provided your pc doesnt pop :P

I have something like this (complementary unbound), it's built in to Valhelsia 6 (current game version 1.20.1), the minecraft mod pack from curseforge.

i tried this on my quad core and it was not happy about it

Complementary Unbound is by far my favorite shader and it works with distant horizons on my pc. Pro tip, turn on cloud shadows it looks so beautiful. And also when the 1.21 build for Nvidium comes out, check that out because it is a really awesome mod. As long as you have a nvidia graphics card, which you do, then it can do insane render distance without losing any graphics quality even 100 chunks away. Although the render distance is limited by how much memory your gpu has and also it isnt compatable with shaders :/

sorry for this essay of a comment lol. its so long

yo could you do a compilation of mods that would turn minecraft into a phycological horror game
@ASPY80618 күн бұрын
When you play with horror mods PLEASE use insanity shaders they're amazing for creepy shit
@Drslime0918 күн бұрын
Thats true, but it actually breaks a lot of mods, so if that doesnt work, spookelmentry is the way too go.

I still have TU41 and TU31 archived on my Xbox. I kept them to show people around because you can't really access them anymore once the game updated. TU70 sucks IMO.
