Good stuff. New cowl hood looks good, and that intake I would think should out perform that older one you had on there.

Thank you! And I'm hoping it will too, it feels like it doesn't cough or have nearly as rough of an idle and it ran 13.20s with two bad plug wires.... so running on all 8 should make it much happier haha

HEY GENIUS... Are you telling me you can't tell somethings wrong with the way your "Build" is idling Bro ????????????????????????????????????????????????????? And Can I ask you why all you kids think allowing your motor to idle at 500 RPM or whatever the hell is just BOSS MAN ?????? IT AIN'T .. That's how plugs foul ... WTF is wrong with you kids ...
@thedailymisfire2 күн бұрын
It idles at like 900 to 1100 rpm at the track.... it's a 107 LSA on the cam which is why it chops with open header.... thank you for your input though I really appreciate you trying to tell me what I did wrong 😂
@lawlessmotorsportstn2 күн бұрын
Any performance engine with a decent sized cam will idle around 1000-1100 rpm’s. The reason you have spark plugs foul is because that 305 or whatever you have can’t support a 750 double pumper and 3/4 “race” cam with a lazy 116 lobe separation that revs about as fast as a turtle going up a hill. That ruguelement guy is crazy

Why the switch to the duel plane from the single. your going to lose top end hp and the low end torque the duel picks up your probably going to blow throw with the stall. I'm just curious about the intake and do you want to sale the single plane. I'll give you some sand paper if you need it to make your hood look better I'm at Woodby moters on Simerly Creek just stop by

It's trying something new and I think it should make more power in my operating range in theory, the car doesn't run over 6500 anyway, so we will see, in theory the performer rpm should be as good or better, and I'm probably going to keep it for now and thank you ill keep that in mind!

You'll have to run the numbers on the block, most likely a 283. That said, I do know that some 327s did get produced with powerpacks, just not sure what the application was. Regardless, 283s are great little motors when you spice them up a little. As for the car, definitely a bit rough but like you said, lots of good wagon parts that aren't re-popped. I haven't even started chasing wagon specific parts for my '65 wagon yet. Talk about pieces that will break the bank.
@thedailymisfire22 күн бұрын
Yeah I was trying to see that and your right, while it doesn't really show it, they could have appeared with them. Like my 67 hardtop car has a 65 nova rear end in it, was it dealer warranty or spare parts from the factory? Who knows lol, and I found people on the forums selling that drip rail trim in the past and it looks like it's a 500 to 700 dollar piece, so right there it was worth it lol, it hurts my soul sometimes, also I've heard the Vega roof rack is similar size to the Nova Wagon if your looking for one of those, cause they are PRICEY lol
@OneMoreBolt20 күн бұрын
@@thedailymisfire that's a good tip on the Vega rack, hadn't considered one of those. I definitely want to add a rack to my wagon at some point. That drip rail pricing though, I'd just go without for those kind of dollars, so yeah, I'd say you got your monies worth in the parts car for sure.
@thedailymisfire20 күн бұрын
Yeah I haven't tried to price a Vega one yet but it was another potential to make it a little easier, or it's sweet patina's setup haha, and it blew my mind when I saw that the other day, could literally have a free car if I wanted to sell it lol
