Anderssen was a solid goalie but never knew how to close his 5-hole. (Still doesn't, canes D just keeps opposing players to the outside better) . And as much hate as the core 4 get for crumbling under pressure, andersen scared the bajesus out of me closing out a tough game. His numbers were good, but he had the worst mental game and five hole I've ever seen. It was honestly impressive.

Lot of money coming off the books with Tavares contract being up. I dont see him getting more than 6m p/y on his next contract. Hoping he takes a small deal to chase the cup.

JT was a credit to the city in the way he served as Captain. He bleeds Blue and White, always showed up and was accountable, never took a shift off. I'll never say a bad word about Tavares. GREAT player! That said, I don't think he was built to be captain in the way Sid or Toews might have been. I can see making the move, but lets not get too excited. We still have the same players, and while AM's had some great stretches in the regular season, he has never put the Leafs on his back and carried them to a series win. To me this is just a distraction from a team that hasn't done enough to change their trajectory in the off-season.
