Any hot start tips mines fires ups well from cold. It’s when it’s had a good run and try and go to start it 2-3 hrs later it takes a good few ignition cycles. 🙃
@keenauto88Ай бұрын
Hello bud, ain’t saying I’m some sort of guru but this is what I would do! I would first start by looking at your plugs and seeing how it’s running using a plug chart, and seeing if there are differences between the cylinders. I would give it a service if it hasn’t had one in a while for sure. Your probably running a bit rich and the fuel flooding the engine after running is making it hard to start. Worse case you might find if the compression is a bit low after things have warmed up it becomes harder to start. Start with the easy stuff and then progress on. Or if it runs and you don’t have the time/funds to sort it just enjoy it! That’s what I tend to do 😉 hope this helps

Had one aged 14. Once changed the timing belt, but fitted it upside down (silly marker on top crank pulley). It still started and ran for a week - although very poorly. No damage caused thankfully.

my hub is not the same width all the way through so i can’t stick the metal circle in it any idea what i should do
@keenauto882 ай бұрын
Can you not put it in the way the bearing goes in? Most hubs are smaller internally as that’s where the bearing seats too. You want to remove the race the same way you fit it for this reason. If not there are other methods but you are more likely going to damage the hub surface. You can die grind internally on the bearing race in one spot until you pretty much break though and you should be able to punch it out. It may take two spots of grinding until the race is weakened enough. It is risky though as you can damage the hub face. I hope this helps 👍

Really nice you included measurements. I'm 193 cm tall. Do you reckon it would be possible to squeeze another few cm? Or does your foam go right to the back door?
@keenauto882 ай бұрын
@@zacsolomons the foam does go to the back door right up to the dash, but if you don’t mind being slight huddled it should be okay. Best way is just to try it out without the foam to save you wasting money. We do also use the foam in tent camping and having friends staying at the house so it’s universal 👍

Hey, nice Jimny! I just got myself one with the intention of using it just as you are. Is there any chance you have the dimensions of the wooden shelf you made for the back + how much of a gap there is underneath? I dont suppose theres enough of a gap to use it as a storage space of any sorts? Also when you remove the seats do you just leave it as bare metal under the wood? I was thinking about sound deadening the exposed area and covering it with a rubber mat of sorts
@keenauto886 ай бұрын
Hi bud, thanks for watching 👍the size of the shelf is 800mm width and 900mm long, there is a company on eBay selling cnc cut outs for the back that might work better and look neater. The base is sat on 2x2 (50mm packers) so there is some space underneath but not massive. We use a rubber mat that was from the back of an old van to lay out over the bare metal. This works as insulation/deadener, but also helps not to scratch everything up. I threw this up one day a few hours before we were supposed to go camping out is scrap materials and we have just ran with it since! I am sure if you have more time and some creativity you could do something a lot better 👍 Enjoy the jimny they are siiiiick! And even better when you can sleep in them
